Thank you very little NEWEGG!!
- Pros: none, as the HDD failed 20 minutes after receiving.
- Cons: Point blank don't' buy this laptop. Bad hdd, sent in to Newegg twice. "nothing is wrong with it" . Yeah okay that's why it post bios three times before booting with the old clickity clickity... and then dies, I guess in my 15 yrs + of computer experience I must have learned nothing... Newegg did nothing to help, and was rude about it. I am still waiting for the "manager" to return my call..........
- Other Thoughts: Works great now that I replaced the hdd, and reloaded the O/S.... on my own dime, Thank you very little Newegg...... I guess the thousands of dollars I spend with you a month mean nothing.....
Excellent Laptop and Excellent Price
- Pros: Really nice, powerful, fast processing laptop. Highly recommended purchse if you are looking for a great deal. Hard drive could have been a bit larger, but the 3g DDR ram coupled with the MS Vista....operates extremely fast with the AMD Turion X2s. Like some reviews have stated, the glossy finish makes it hard to keep fingerprints off of it....but I certainly wouldn't let that stop me from purchasing this product. Picked it up for my daughter and she's totally stoked with it. Also got a pair of Altec Lansing 2.1s (FX 4021) and the sound is unbelievable. The quality of the display is also excellent. No complaints all around!
- Cons: Hard drive could be bigger.
- Other Thoughts: Don't be concerned that it's a refurb! HP has rebuilt the machines to new and there is nothing physically or technically wrong with this package. The price is excellent compared to other sellers and the same box which isn't a refurb. Glad I made the purchase. Also, NewEgg provides like the fastest shipping that I've found. Just bought more from them yesterday, and that item is already shipped and will be received within two days of ordering....AND it was FREE shipping! WOO HOO
Good laptop =D
- Pros: The specs on this laptop are very good for the price.
High performance(relatively)
Can run most older games pretty well. WoW, and any old game, pre 2004 era.
- Cons: No XP support. I looked up the drivers for XP and installed XP, then the drivers only to find out that none of them actually work. HP does not have drivers for XP. Most of them are there, but do not work.
I bought 2 of these. One for myself, and one for my mother. My mothers hard drive died about 2 weeks later. However, HP was great about fixing that for her. They replaced her HD with no cost to us(Except shipping, which was a nominal fee)
- Other Thoughts: I use this laptop when I want to watch a movie and I don't feel like sitting in front of my computer, or If I just want to lay down and browse the internet. Anything mobile I need to do, I can do. It's great.
