Pros: Powerful laptop with really high specs. I mainly use this laptop for gaming and 3d rendering projects at college at man does it get the job done. Lightwave makes rendering easy and quick and games look beautiful run smooth.

Cons: not many. When i first had the laptop i had a few issues of a constant bluescreen on boot. Later to find out it was software conflicting issues and not the laptop itself so cant really blame it.

Other Thoughts: Really wish i could order a 2nd battery. Don't need one yet but the worry of my battery failing is always there.

Pros: Fantastic built, durable and fast. A year old now and still competes with higher end gaming desktops. Would absolutely buy again.

Cons: CAPS lock button has no indicator, disk ejection button on keyboard does not work.

Other Thoughts: Wish MSI would make an updated version of this laptop, they did a fantastic job with this one. Only a couple little errors.

Pros: I imagine if you had one that worked you'd be pleased with most of it

Other Thoughts: I spent $1,700 on this laptop about a year ago. It mostly sat on my shelf for the first 6 months until Diablo III came out. I'll be generous and say I logged between 48-72 hours on the machine before one night I put it to sleep. When I brought it back up it BSOD and from there would continually restart without ever loading windows to completion. I tried everything I could, even wiping the raid drives clean and trying to re-install windows, but it would never load the windows files. Bitter that I had to send back my large purchase with such little use, I contacted MSI who gave me an RMA number to mail it back to them. I was in luck (sarcasm), on top of my $1,700 I also got to pay $70 to ship it back to them. The turn around was quick, about a day or two after they received it I got a tracking number for it coming back my way. When I received it back it was obviously a different laptop, which is fine except for two things: it won't load a webpage in under 3 minutes, and the "warranty void if seal broken" sticker on the bottom is broken... So, I guess there goes my warranty?? In any case, what can I do now? Contact MSI again and pay ANOTHER $70 to ship it back to them??? IF they'll take it given the fact that this seal is broken? To say the least, $1,700 is a LOT of money to most people to spend on a laptop. I can't say I've ever been more upset/angry/homicidal over a purchase before in my life. Buyer beware.

Pros: It's great, when it works. Fast, powerful, huge screen.

Cons: I've had this laptop for almost a year and this is the 3rd time I'm going to have to RMA it. The first time was for a hard drive failure, the second because the lid casing cracked, and now again for another hard drive failure.

Is their some type of lemon law? 3 strikes and I get a full refund?

Pros: Great speed and plays most games on highest settings with ease.

Cons: This units case is very thin plastic and has some problems with the hinges getting too tight and breaking away from the top cover. Also MSI does not want to warranty this. So get the one year warranty from new egg to protect it. After research I found many people with same problem.

Other Thoughts: We paid $1899 and unit has three year MSI warranty but MSI wants to charge $120 for the new top lid.

Pros: Fast! BIG! Has all the features I needed and wanted. It really handles everything that I have thrown at it so far with no problems. I really love the fact that the video card is a physical card and not built onto the motherboard. This way I can change it if necessary as a quick upgrade.

Cons: Lackluster 3dmark benchmarks, even in turbo (?) mode. Goop, but I really wanted more.
This notebook would be just about right if I had ordered it with the SSD Drives. If you really want a powerful machine, get the SSD model and not the SATA HDD model.

Other Thoughts: Great machine, well worth the money but now I know that I should have spent the extra for the SSD model. For as fast as the MB/CPU are, the HDD really hurt this machines performance.

Pros: A plethora of RAM, blazing processor, 3GB of video RAM, fancy keyboard, great speakers

Cons: NO BLU RAY PLAYER as advertised. I was instead only given a DVD burner. This was one of the major reasons I was buying this laptop as I don't have a blu-ray player at home. Be sure to double check you're getting what you ordered.

Other Thoughts: Other than the lack of blu-ray, computer runs fantastic.

Pros: 16G, 1.5 T HD can't really say much that is good, I wish I was within my 30 days I would return it and get another brand.

Cons: Worst CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER calling MSI home office. I called one number and it says to call another number and I called that number and it said to call the first number. When I finally got a live person and asked for a supervisor the guy hung up on me, I called back and happen to get the same guy, I asked for his name and he wouldn't give it to me and transfer me to the top of the line queue and not a manager whom I asked for. FAN IS VERY LOUD and ALWAYS ON.

Other Thoughts: I called tech support to see how you open this DVD/Blue Ray player up, instead I get the run around on where to call and CS reps that loves to hang up on you or transfer you to a LONG holding line where you need to call back anyways.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat laptops, minor complaints

Pros: I'm a software developer. This machine smokes my workstation at work, which is a high-end development machine. I replace HD0 with an SSD on the first day, that's important. The machine scores a 7.3 on the windows experience index. Awesome.

Cons: There's a pause when the machine boots up and when some service/hardware starts up. Could be software, but I've never experienced this before. After a 30-second pause the machine is normal. Fairly minor though. The larger complaint is the stupid S-bar, without which the camera doesn't work amongst other things. Ridiculous. Seriously, MSI - open source or send me the code and I'll make people stop complaining about this.

Other Thoughts: Fantastic computer, haven't really hit any major snags. I love watching my colleagues drool. I set the keyboard to pulse colors (i.e. breathe) and it never ceases to stop people in their tracks.

Pros: Looks, runs and plays like a champ.

Cons: Takes a while to get use to the setting. almost returned thinking some of the hardware had issues, but once past the quirkiness of the machine it's all good.

Other Thoughts: It's worth the money and don't worry about the 2.2 processor its plenty of speed. Plays Skyrim ultra high settings, and all my audio/ DJ programs run a 100% better.
