4 out of 5 eggsGood computer, bad hard drive

Pros: Very fast computer, runs programs and games well. Comes with Windows 7, matte screen, i7 processor, turbo fan button is nice so computer doesn't overheat (although if you're playing even a low-mid graphics game, it will still get kind of hot).

Cons: Hard drive failed in less than 4 months with average use (does the warranty cover this?), glossy surface shows fingerprints, plastic external feels a little flimsy.

Other Thoughts: Great computer overall. No problems except for the hard drive.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Computer

Pros: - Runs great, manual fan button really helps.
- Ran a few games at maximum(ultra) graphics settings:
- Left 4 Dead 2: 50-80 fps
- Natural Selection 2: 20-30 fps
- The Secret World: 10 fps in Agartha, 20-30 everywhere else
- Sleeping Dogs: 15-20 fps
- Skyrim: 25-50 fps
- Deus Ex: Human Revolution: 40-50 fps

If you're not a quality junkie and run games at medium-high like me instead of at ultra, you'll easily get 50-60 fps in Sleeping Dogs, NS2, and TSW.

Cons: -Glossy surfaces on the cover and around the keyboard make for lots of fingerprints.
-Doesn't come with a button for turning off the screen without putting the computer to sleep.
-Optical drive seems to be loose and wiggles around, even when closed.

Other Thoughts: Haven't been able to accurately measure boot time, since every time I shut off my computer, updates are installed. It doesn't seem to be a remarkable boot time, however.

4 out of 5 eggsgood with the bad

Pros: its fast, works well, runs quiet, turbo fans, quiet fans, sleek design, comfortable keyboard, great for gaming

Cons: gets really hot while gaming had to buy an extra cooling stand.... dvd drive is flimsy and feels like it will fall out or break if you put your hand by it (this really dissatisfied me to a extreme degree)

Other Thoughts: Other than the cons its a solid pc. Slightly overpriced due to the cons of the pc. Improve the airflow to keep the pc cooler for con one. For con two, maybe with a solid bay and a blue-ray drive this pc would be remarkably better.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Pleased

Pros: Relatively light, 1920x1080p display, two RAM slots which can support at least 16GB of RAM, powerful i7 CPU, mSATA port/slot for an SSD, plenty of ports, HDMI port and SD Card Slot

I also really like the keyboard and the extra features in the buttons at the top of it where you can for example, set the internal fan to run at a higher rate of speed which really makes a difference if you want to stay ahead of the heat with more demanding games.

The GTX 660 is still quite the solid GPU and with an SSD the machine really is up to the challenge with modern games.

Cons: Honestly, there is not a thing I really dislike or am bothered by that I would mention it here. This is my second MSI machine and I love this one even more than I did that laptop.

Other Thoughts: Newegg lists this machine as having a 7200 RPM 750GB drive, the model I received however came with a 5400 RPM drive which I switched out right away.

Also, be forewarned that opening the case to upgrade the RAM, HDD or to add an SSD will void the warranty. That said, I did find this machine very easy to open and work inside of; pay careful attention when adding the SSD though as one of the cables has to be removed before you can install the drive properly. One also needs to have exactly the right screw on hand in order to secure your mSATA SSD.

Ultimately, I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good gaming laptop. The Graphics card, processor, and hard drive are all really good. Also it comes with Windows 7 so that makes it all the more better. The Screen size I think is good, the keyboard is good. It has turbo, and a webcam.

Cons: I've only had the laptop for just over a week and the plastic case around the screen feels like it's loosening up.

I also did get the blue screen of death. Just once but I didnt really do anything so still not sure what was going on there. However I have not had any more problems so far.

Other Thoughts: Overall good gaming laptop. A few minor problems and wierd things but over all a good computer.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing bargain

Pros: -Great for gaming.
-cheap (on the msi site the ge60 with lower specs is considered a high performance gaming laptop and is 400 more, this is better and 400 dollars less)
- great graphics card for money (gtx 660m is almost the exact same power as the GT 750m SLI for anyone looking at that lenovo, but with the GTX you get an optical drive)
-great quad core i7 proccessor with intel turbo)
-looks great.
-easily upgradable
-windows 7
-many connection ports
-Great speakers

list of games I've run:
-BF3 (ultra: 45-60 fps)
-Just Cause 2 (ultra: 60 fps)
-Minecraft (Far distance max quality: 80 fps)

this is a small list but these games are very graphic/CPU intensive.

Cons: -plasic (bends)
-has the i7 but cant really do much with out overclocking it which is a pain to keep an eye on if it gets too hot)
- gets really hot (REALLY HOT, even when on top of a cooler.
- doesn't come with some of the more important drivers (letdown if people would have difficulty getting them)
-"interesting" keyboard (takes getting used to)
- somewhat long bootup

Other Thoughts: Overall this is a great laptop for about anything. It has it's ups and downs, but its cheap as can be. Runs anything you throw at it at great speeds. I recommend this laptop indefinitely for anyone looking at a cheap, but powerful gaming laptop, don't spend anything over at most 1200 dollars, you don't need it.

4 out of 5 eggsThe right stuff

Pros: Great components for an all around desktop replacement/gaming laptop. Running Windows 7 as it should be. Windows 8 is a joke for gaming.

Cons: Doesn't feel well built. Not sure how long it will last. Plastic feels a bit too thin, it all feels kinda loosely put together.

Other Thoughts: I sure don't like the direction laptops have taken lately. Finding a decent laptop with good components and windows 7 is darn near impossible now. Never been a big fan of MSI, but it had all the right stuff, so we'll just see how long/well it lasts. Hope to get 3 to 4 years out of it.
