The item description mentions a display port, but I don't see it in the pictures.  Does it truly have one? If so, do you know what version it is? 1.2 or 1.2a?

It does have one HDMI v1.4 port on the back near the charging port. If you have a v1.4 HDMI cable, the graphics card will support up to 4K resolutions. The 3K screen on this computer is absolutely incredible and the card doesn't even break a sweat. I apologize if this is more information than what you were needing, but I know it was an area of concern for myself while I was looking at this computer. Is the screen matte or glossy?

It's a matte screen with anti-glare. Works really well and have been very pleased with how much it reduces the typical glare.

Question 3

is it a 4*4ram or 2*8? Can I upgrade it to 32G? And is the SSD formed raid 0 or can I add another SSD to form raid 0?

Based on the specs at MSI's site, it has four dual-channel DDR3L DIMMS supporting 32GB. MSI's SuperRaid 2 connection technically allows for 3 SSDs to be hooked up in RAID 0 configuration, but its unclear whether there is enough space int he laptop for three drives.

Are there a free recovery disk and a hidden partition in the hard drive allow users to reformat the hard drive and reinstall the operating system and pre-loaded software?

Yes, there is recovery stuff on a hidden partition for MSI laptops. People say the recovery disc maker doesn't work, but it just takes like 30 minutes to "prepare" the files. You can burn to DVD or make isos.
