2 out of 5 eggsIt's good but...

Pros: Great laptop. Plenty of power for note taking, simple games, and any work that you might need it for.

Cons: Cheap Chinese knock off charger isn't recognized by the system.

4 out of 5 eggsDell NB

Pros: Next day delivery and WOW! was it packed well. The NB looks sharp and has everything I need for a second NB.

Cons: Light scatches, but expected on a recertified item.

Other Thoughts: I've been a customer for two yrs now and every purchase has arrived within 1 to 2 days. Extremely well packed to protect my items.

5 out of 5 eggsD630 Dell Latitude

Pros: Works great! Runs 64bit windows 7 with NO issues. First notebook that I have installed 8gb of ram!! I went to crucial.com as it is easy to tell it what you have and to my surprise it said the max was 8GB of ram (2 4gb chips).

Cons: if there has to be one, the second memory slot is under the keyboard. but overall, it was easy to change.

Other Thoughts: Great system for the price. For under 500, I have a system running 8gig's of ram ! why buy an entry level laptop when you can get a great mobile workhorse like this!!

5 out of 5 eggsLovin' it!

Pros: Cheap! A small lightweight lappy for less than the cost of a netbook, sweet! Unlike netbooks, this has an optical drive!

Cons: Gets a little warm if you leave it in your lap. Touchpad was difficult at first. Go to the Dell website and dowload/install the "Alps" driver. The description for the driver reads like it's only for the pointer stick, but trust me it's also for the touchpad...you can thank me later.

Other Thoughts: No loaded with bloatware. Batter is decent at 2+ hrs of surfing. Does fine with web graphics, but don't purchase this as a gaming system (duh!). For a netbook alternative, it's da bomb!

3 out of 5 eggsI don't know what to say

Pros: Seems like a good computer so far. Light weight and not too bulky. Good clear picture and smooth keyboard.

Cons: Not exactly the biggest harddrive on the market. 60 gigs doesn't get you far. I received the laptop, and of course the battery is bad. They didn't even test the batter? It's the most important part of a PORTABLE COMPUTER. They ask me to send back the battery, and I'm waiting for a new one now. I bought myself a replacement battery for now. Having a battery on the front, also makes this awkward. An extended battery extends out of the front. I installed windows 7, thinking my computer was able to handle it. Computer slows to a halt. Apparently all they sent me was half a gig of memory. Some of the options on the keyboard don't seem to work. The space bar is the only button that has this weird annoying squeak to it.

Other Thoughts: Going to be interesting to see exactly what they do about the memory situation. Hopefully they replace it with a full gig, and not send me half a gig, as I'd like to add on additional memory with out having one of the extra slots spoken for. I'm not sure if I would recommend this computer. I suppose you get what you pay for.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Purchase

Pros: Extremely good laptop for the price. Battery life is around 2-3 hours for me.

Cons: Came with an aftermarket power cord, which looks a little flimsy.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a very good laptop at an extremely resonable price, consider this one.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat deal!

Pros: - Simple DELL design.
- Super quiet. Almost too quiet.
- Comes with both Original OEM Win XP key as well as the Refurbished Win XP Key.
- Light for it's size.
- Has 2 mini pci-e slots (one for WWAN one for WLAN, however I believe you can use the free slot for something else, like a mini pci-e SSD drive).

Cons: - TouchPad is a bit laggy. You can feel it when you move your finger then the mouse cursor decides to move a few ms later. Also, the Pointer Stick is too sensitive. Using a USB/Bluetooth mouse is recommended.
- Does not come with the biometric finger swipe device.
- LCD can look a bit washed out with full brightness. Also, brightness isn't all that great.
- Battery was a bit beat up around one of the edges. However, the battery performs superbly.
- Gets a little hot by the middle of the unit (right under the keyboard). But it isn't too uncomfortable. The Palm rest area's are unaffected.

Other Thoughts: I decided to purchase this refurb'ed rather than deal with the shortcomings of a netbook. I am happy to say that I believe my decision was definitely a right one.

The first thing I did when I received it was crack it up and replace the HDD and RAM. Now it's running Win 7 Ultimate (64-bit) with 4GB RAM and 250GB HDD. For now I have no issues with not having a built in web cam.

I am planning on acquiring the bluetooth module as well as the trackpad with the biometric swipe in the near future. I may also throw a wifi-n card as well...

If the price on the E5410 comes down I might also purchase that and maybe sell this one off...we'll see.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Deal - go for it!

Pros: Solid laptop with nice features and SATA hard drive! it's light for its size. It works with external LCD at 1920x1080 smoothly (full screen youtube in 720p).

Cons: does not have DVI/HDMI out

Other Thoughts: I think it's much better deal that a new netbook one can get for about the same price or more - bigger screen, more processing power, but sure less battery life (I got 3 hours in saving mode). I bought this (60Gb HDD) and 80Gb HDD model (5 bucks more). This model is much better conditions: battery is much better, has official XP CD for referb Dell, has no bloatware. 80Gb HDD version comes with XP for NEW Dell, has bloat ware, terrible battery (several minutes - just anough to go to next room), somewhat warped HD compartment door.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat value at time of purchase

Pros: Intel Video Chipset runs up to 224mb (the optional NVidia was junk in all Dells it was available for).
Ability to upgrade to 4gb of DDR2 Memory
Very easy to upgrade Hard Drive.
Removable Optical Drive if you want to use a 2nd Battery.

Cons: Its not an issue with the laptop but with windows. If you do decide to install the maximum 4gb of memory keep in mind 32-bit windows will not see all 4gb. Again, not an issue with the laptop itself, just something to keep in mind.

Other Thoughts: I purchased when this unit was all the way down to 180.99. I also purchased a 2gb module of memory to install. I was pleasantly surprised when I went to upgrade and there was a 1gb module installed instead of 2x512mb modules like I was expecting. Instead of upgrading to 2.5gb I was able to go to 3gb. Mine also came with a 90w power adapter.
