What sort of digitizer pen does this tablet require?

The Dell xt2 stylus / pen, is electrostatically charged and will only work on the xt2.  I have tried various standard stylus's but they do not work.  The stylus for the xt3 does not work either.  You have to use a dell latitude xt2 stylus.  You can buy them parts people, pen details are: New Dell Stylus Kit For Latitude XT XT2 Tablet PC - XN166

Is this a 64 bitcomputer?

Hi,

The unit I got came with the the Intel Core 2 Duo SU9600, which is a 64-bit processor as it implements "Intel 64", which is Intel's implementation of the x86 64-bit instruction set. You can check other sources to verify.

To fully utilize a 64-bit computer, you need to have a 64-bit operating system and want to have more than 4 GB of memory (RAM). I've upgraded my unit to 5 GB.

does the windows 7 that is installed is it 64 bit?

It was on mine.  The machine came with win 7 64 bit on it and the license Sticker that it came with just says windows 7 pro for refurb so if it comes with 7 32 bit you should be able to use the key to upgrade if you have install discs for 64bit. I upgraded mine to windows 8.1 and upgraded to a Solid state drive.

What does  no optical mean?

No optical means it does not have a DVD/CD drive built in. You can use an external USB drive, a USB stick or media card in it's place. There is also an inexpensive docking station available that does have a DVD drive.
