3 out of 5 eggsOk Laptop

Pros: It was fast and worked well. When it wasn't having issues

Cons: It had a heating issue and it would freeze up all the time on me. I had a ton of issues with it after 4 months.

4 out of 5 eggsGood gaming laptop :)

Pros: Im comparing to my not so new desktop with the pros -
Runs pretty fast, loading doesnt have to long to wait on, easy to setup and use any other devices with it, the speakers are good (but not as good as some nice large desktop ones), battery good if your not playing any games (surfing, email and such). If your looking for a goodish gaming laptop and are willing to buy a cooler, hey this is a good pick. At least for me its been much better than my desktop.

Cons: Power button in not so good a spot, I tend to grab and move it and accidently turn it off, had to get use to not touching there. The touch pad is good, but there is a horizontal scroll area on it that isnt shown on it like the vertical. Bloat ware a bit annoying but you can get rid of it some way some how Im sure. The battery doesnt last as long when your playing any games. My biggest problem is the left side of the sucker gets as hot as a stove top being on when you are playing games. So get a cooler of some kind to help with it for sure!

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing laptop

Pros: Core i5 and a decent GPU. Absolutely amazing. Does everything I ask it to and then some. Price wise, if you find a better one for your money, I would be thoroughly impressed. I did a lot of comparative shopping. I'm talking 3 solid weeks of thinking and comparing and weighing the options.

Cons: I would begin to consider before you buy it that you might (only if you are looking for very picky reasons not to buy) need to upgrade the hard drive to a faster RPM. I get by just fine with the stock one, though. Also, I did upgrade the amount of RAM that was in it stock. I went from 4GB to 8. Haven't received the package yet, but it's worth noting that I was bothered enough to purchase it. I would have preferred it have a USB 3.0 usability, but 'tis the life of a thrifty buyer.

Other Thoughts: I am only a light to medium gamer, but if you are expecting more for your money, you are going to need to get a desktop. I would recommend this laptop to anyone who wants a gaming laptop, but wants to avoid the incredibly hefty price of an alienware with multiple desktop GPUs and 32 Gigabytes of ram, that's all completely overkill. When will you ever be maxing that system out? Playing 6 separate games of Crysis on the same laptop, that's when. This laptop does the job nicely.

5 out of 5 eggsGood laptop

Pros: Great laptop for the price, amazing graphics.
Nice Design

Cons: Just have to get used to the touchpad while get a decent usb mouse.
A cooler is a must have in order to ensure durability.

Other Thoughts: This is a great laptop, I'm kinda worried about the SandyBridge Bug though. This laptop has the HM65 chipset and in my case the port distribution is like this

Well what else can i say? The product itself is great but this issue really worries me somehow. I have recently learned about the bug and I see that many laptops that come with the bugged chipsets are being sold out there so I would like to know If any of you can tell us all his thoughts about this. Thanks.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat laptop with weak wifi

Pros: This laptop is sleek, lightweight, quiet, and fast.
The display is amazing. The second generation i5 processir is darn fast and this laptop is so cheap for what you get. I feel like this laptop will last me a while.

Cons: The only con for this laptop from me is the awful wifi. I don't know if it's just mine but this laptop has very weak wifi strength. My old HP laptop and my phone could detect signals up to five neighbors away. This laptop can barely detect my next door neighbor's and I only get 4 bars even when I'm right next to my router. Tried updating drivers, troubleshooting, doesn't help. It has an Atheros wireless card and I'm not too familiar with this brand so =/

Trackpad is a bit annoying so I got myself a wireless mouse and now I can just forget about the trackpad.

Other Thoughts: Other than the weak wifi, this laptop is great. My friends compliment on the way the laptop looks (very sleek and nice texture), definitely performs like a high end computer and for under 800 bucks/ Wow.
I might however replace my wireless card when the time and money comes.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Power and Performance

Pros: Ok to start off I'm going to tell you the gaming performance with this beast. I am running almost every game I have on Ultra/highest settings. Games I've tested so far include Aliensvs.Predator,Battlefield 2,Borderlands, CoD4,CoDWAW,CompanyofHeroesComplete,CounterStrike Source( All HL2 Engine games run smoothly on highest, (+L4D and L4D2 :D)MirrorsEdge,SWBF2, Dungeons and Dragons Online and Minecraft! :D. I ran GTA4 on Ultra/High Settings and ran smoothly, kinda started lagging with x16 Anti Aliasing so tuned it down. I haven't tried Crysis or any really hardcore graphics demanding game yet but will update.-
The cpu in this is fast and perfect for everything in my opinion whether your gaming, editing etc etc. It does everything. The 4GB of ram is enough but I already upgraded to the 8 gigs and loading times for games are like nonexistent :P. The dvd drive works as expected. Comes with 3 usb, HDMI which is a plus. Battery life is awesome. HDD is excellent also. The LCD Screen is amazing

Cons: Upon getting this it might take you up to an hour or two to remove the bloatware and get Windows updated along with installing your own basic needed programs like antivirus etc. People complain about fingerprints etc but honestly its not that bad at all. When in intense gaming the area under the wasd keys do heat up considerably and it may get uncomfortable but if let it sit without using any demanding graphics it cools down in like 2 mins. I recommend getting a cooler, nothing too expensive is needed bought mine for $40, just for peace of mind really. Other than that I can't honestly think of anything wrong with this laptop. Well worth the investment.

Other Thoughts: -Didn't have room in Pros-
I purchased an 8GB upgrade kit( and put these babies in and windows loads in no time, games like i said, unless playing a network game like WoW or DDO load in like 10 seconds seriously and even faster. The sound system is also amazing. This laptop is the best investment I've made in information tech in a long time.

5 out of 5 eggsFast Laptop! Low Price!

Pros: This laptop is quite nice. I've owned it for about a week now and I've really enjoyed it. I needed a laptop that wouldn't break the bank but wanted one that could also pump out nice graphics/speed in games and intensive video editing software. For $679.99 this is the best deal around.

The nvidia 1gb 540m graphics card is a champ and can run WoW at Ultra if you turn down a couple settings (as previous reviewer posted) at almost constant high 50-60 fps. Crysis 2 runs great on Med/High graphics but will hiccup if you bump it to Ultra. It's such a graphically demanding game but looks great!

The screen is crisp n clear. The touchpad doesn't annoy me as it does others and mine works great. The size is just right for me and I really like the optimus technology. You can manually choose if you want it to run in integrated graphics or the 1gb dedicated card. For games it defaults to the 1gb card which is preferred. Battery life is decent overall unless gaming.

Cons: The 5400rpm harddrive is a bit slow but isn't a big concern for me. Doesn't seem to really effect gameplay but it does take a bit longer to load things and transfer files via external devices.

Other Thoughts: I took the advice of everyone and bought a LAPTOP COOLER. The Zalman NC1000 is a great aluminum cooler thats worth the price. This laptop sticks out slightly on each edge of it but I'd recommend getting it if you are gonna game cause this lappy heats up. With the Zalman laptop cooler my GPU temps haven't exceeded 70 deg Celsius and both my CPU cores haven't exceeded 75 deg Celsius during long hours of gaming. Pretty darn good. Heres a link:
