Yes, it has one ethernet port on the upper left hand portion of the body, it's also quite good for light gaming and has ample storage space.

I don't think so, they would have to change the the physical screen itself. However it will output 1080p externally with its hdmi port.

Does this optical drive play blue ray discs?

no it does not. Blu-ray discs aren't compressed the same way as CD or DVD discs, which means that Blu-ray discs can't be read by your CD or DVD player.

Will 8.1 be available to upgrade at no extra cost?
