Fantastic. Period.
- Pros: This laptop is every gamer on a budget's dream. Dx10 compatible dedicated graphics, a great 17" widescreen, and a full size keyboard. It's also nice having the custom carrying case and ASUS mouse included, as personally I hate touch pads. Also one HUGE plus- It's VERY cool running. After 5 and a half hours of online gaming, it was still cool to the touch. Also the battery ran for 2 hours playing a movie. Great product!
- Cons: Nothing.
- Other Thoughts: There are other laptops in this price range with slightly beefier systems, but this is a QUALITY product. Cool running, great battery and good specs with a complete mobile setup of bonuses. I highly recommend this laptop.
Pretty Much Great
- Pros: The 17" screen is great with crystal clear resolution and almost no glare. The built in wireless adapter is lighting fast, bluetooth, HDMI output, runs virtually silently. I couldn't ask for a better laptop at this price point. Even comes with its own custom carrying case! Previously I had purchased ASUS hardware for building desktops and generally trusted the brand. This laptop is no different - totally solid state.
- Cons: The 250GB hard drive is in reality two drives - one for the Vista operating system, 116GB, and a "Data" drive for backups or whatever media you feel like storing. For a casual user with little knowledge of how to properly install programs to separate drives or that sort of thing, it's kind of obnoxious. At this point that's really the only (very minor) problem.
- Other Thoughts: It's a great laptop.
