I have a very important question and an issue with this product I don't get the reason its happening or turning on the proper way. When I Press the power button the lightbulb icon turns on green while im holding down the power button, when I let go the battery sill stays green because the charger is plugged in and charging, but the lightblub icon goes off and the driver activity indicator goes on for a second but then shuts off. Then the laptop doesn't turn on or boot at all. Can you guys please help me fix this or figure out how to fix it, I been reading forums and trying to turn on the laptop and nothing seems to work.??

I had a similar problem with my Asus laptop.

When most newer Asus motherboards get too hot they shutdown to protect your computer, and will not turn back on until the temperature drops to the safe range.

I found that the reason my motherboard was overheating was the malfunctioning fan. It was not keeping the motherboard cool due to a barring doing out in the fan producing more heat instead of reducing it.

It is also possible that the fan has stopped working all together.

1. Does the Asus laptop make a whining sound? If yes, replace the Fan because a barring is going out.

2. Does the Asus laptop make any fan noise when powered on? If no, "The fan has gone bad or is unplugged".

Solution: In both cases check the fan and replace if not working as shown above. This worked for me!
