Question 1

Just how noisy is noisy.  I would like to be able to sit with the laptop on desk in family room while they watch TV.  Most of the  time I'll be doing web/mail/document/lightroom/photoshop stuff, but occasionally run a game.  Will I have to crank up the volume on the TV for them?

If your sitting 2 feet away from them you'll be fine, if ur in different areas of the room, even better. The fan only turns on when you're gaming. the regular processors can handle everything smoothly if your web browsing or running other programs. Fps games tend to make the fan blow a bit louder. But to be honest, I love the preformence of this laptop. Amazinng deal. I don't think you'll have to blast your tv, you'll be fine. (The fan barely blows when dota2 is running) just don't block the vents and you do have the option to adjust the fan speed, even while gaming (not advise to turn it off and game, you'll overheat the laptop; u can turn it down a notch though) (: hope this helps!

I have difficult to remove the back cover for HDD and mSATA drives. I unscrewed the only screw of that cover easily. But I cannot ply off the whole cover panel. Any advice?

First off, follow any advice I give at your own risk. I installed a new hard drive as soon as I got mine, and the bottom cover was a bit difficult to remove as it was on there really tight.

Make sure you have all of the screws removed and the battery removed and that the laptop is unplugged.

After that run your finger or thumb nail around all of the sides/edged applying some pressure to pry it off. You are moving around the edges because you are looking for an area that is more loose or easier to remove than the other sides.

Once you get it started, it should be easier to start working your way around and prying the cover off.

Again in my case, this cover was on tighter than any other laptop I have ever owned, and did take a bit more pressure to remove it, but don't over do it and break anything! Take your time, look for a loose spot, and start with a small amount of pressure working your way up. Once you get a side loose, work your way around from there.

Does this laptop have triple-storage system like the original Gigabyte P25Wv2 laptops?
In other words, can I add an 250 or 500 mSATA/SATA SSD and keep the 1TB HHD that comes with it?

The docs and specs say that it does.  However, if so it is very difficult to find.  When mine arrived I opened it up to install an SSD and planned to move the existing HDD to the second SATA hookup.  However, despite a page in the manual describing this process I could not find the location a 2nd/3rd drive was supposed to fit not any additional SATA connectors.  In the end I gave up and just went with a single SSD since I didn't really need any extra space.
