2 out of 5 eggsEh, not bad

Pros: Good performance, low cost

Cons: Constantly overheats, even with a powered cooler. Sometimes its the CPU, other times the video card.

4 out of 5 eggsPavilion M6

Pros: Great laptop for the price. Very nice features, like the backlight keyboard (light activated from the function keys). I use mine primarily hooked up to a 23" Asus monitor through HDMI and it looks great. I plays Balck Ops II really well, though at lower graphical settings. Black Ops I, or BF3, not so much. It looks so good I forget that is was a refurb.

Cons: The native screen is underwhelming, need to have a specific viewing angle to see it right. Also, I have my settings set to do nothing when the lid is closed, and sometimes when I close the screen the output switches from the monitor to the laptop, which is a pain. I then have to reset my settings for it to work properly. But that is it.

Other Thoughts: Since I don't use the native screen that much, I couldn't be happier with this laptop for the price I paid.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Deal for the Price

Pros: Great laptop overall. Runs really cool all the time (even when gaming). Runs almost everything on medium settings and older games at high settings. Decent sized hard drive. I was also really surprised at the sound quality.

Love the A10 FM2 processor, the performance out of the box is great! Overall an amazing deal for $480.

Cons: Screen could be brighter, but at this price range its unfair to complain.

Every once in a great while (once a week or less) the finger print scanner just does not turn on, but a restart of the computer fixes it.

Other Thoughts: Upgraded my RAM to 8 GB (

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Buy

Pros: Finger print reader to log into windows and each finger can be set to open diffrent programs. The price. the A10 processor

Cons: ummm.... it comes with a 5400rpm HDD. Which is expected for price range.

Other Thoughts: First make some factory recovery discs then rip out the HDD and install SSD. Great laptop for the wife and it plays her sims 3 game with ease.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy!

Pros: Backlit Keyboard, Lightweight, Great graphics for the price, upgradable, the list goes on. For the money, I would recommend this laptop to just about anyone. Its great for normal use, pulling for me almost 8 hours in powersaver mode just browsing the web. Almost 8 and a half with just word processing. I went for a i7 to this and can tell the difference. I haven't had the audio issue like said in a previous rating. My headphones work great! The Beats satellite speakers are good for certain songs. You can manually set the subwoofer to hit and make it sound deeper. If you were into audio, you would know how to do that. This laptop is nice and solid.

Cons: None! If I find any at a later date, will update.

2 out of 5 eggsBad sound card

Pros: Backlit keyboard, ran old games on highest settings, good looking and fairly portable, fingerprint scanner was actually a fairly nice feature.

Cons: A LOT of flex near both shift keys, dead pixels (may be normal for this price point), beats audio is terrible, and so is the sound card (see below for both), some annoying bloatware, but a fresh install will solve that. Reflective, poor viewing angle screen.

Other Thoughts: Beats audio: This stuff is terrible. When listening through speakers, beats audio will try to actively equalize (or something like that), which ends ups varying the volume very noticeably. It's very annoying. I don't think it caused the same problem through the headphones though.
Sound card: It's awful. Anytime my headphones were plugged in, I heard a steady, faint static noise. It didn't matter at all what I was doing. Muting the audio didn't do anything. Basically, after sending the unit in twice for repair, they realized the same problem is seen across all units, so that's that.
So if you are looking for a good audio experience, immediately look elsewhere. Don't get any beats audio systems as well. Other than the subpar screen, flexing keypad and audio, the system was a pleasure to use (briefly), so if you don't use the audio on it, it's not bad at all.
Another note: if you get a refurbished laptop and experience a problem that you can't fix, just return it instead of sending it in for warranty. I made that mistake and have essentially been without my laptop for a month, and am short the $500 or so I spent.
Hopefully this helped.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Product.

Pros: I have tested this baby out, on different settings this far. All results in heavy gaming, multimedia and multitasking are far superior to what i have expected for the price.
As well as getting the best price for the parts and the features in the laptop this one delivers.
A cool surprises the laptop gave me was the HD webcam, the numpad, the keyboard light i wasn't expecting them for this price nor in a refurbished product

Cons: This may not be the latest PC nor the fastest laptop. But for this price is a bargain. The only con i can really complain about is lack of customization in the casing color, or the brand name on the back. That's it.

Other Thoughts: The weight is a concern for me, it's so light i can't believe it. I am used to heavier laptops with the same or below specs and i'm just starting to get familiarized with this lighter weight.

My final thoughts on this particular item, for it's price it's one of the best deals i have come across, only if you are into HEAVY GAMING or HEAVY MULTIMEDIA you will need another more expensive laptop.
