5 out of 5 eggsGreat price for performance

Pros: Lots of power and a good dedicated GPU. Won't play all your games at high, but a lot better than built in graphics.

Cons: None. (maybe Win 8)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Laptop for the money

Pros: Very lite laptop that can play most games well. Have had this laptop for over a month and it has performed flawless.
I am able to play Far Cry 3 at very playable frame rates. System performs well and i cannot be more satisfied with my purchase. Only thing I have done so far to laptop is add a 4 gb stick of GSkill 1600 memory to make total memory 8gb. Will add a SSD and this laptop will be a beast.

Cons: It come with Windows 8 and one of the memory modules is soldered on the motherboard..

Other Thoughts: Payed the extra 2.99 rush processing and my laptop got delivered the next day which was a great surprise.

1 out of 5 eggsCannot upgrade ram or HD without repair tech

Pros: Light, super light. Very sleek

Cons: There is no RAM access cover or HD access cover. As of 10/24/13 there is no information to be found on the internet (OR THROUGH ACER! I spoke to their support) on what you have to do to upgrade either, it looks like removing the entire bottom cover, which means removing a sticker that will void the warranty, leaving your only option of having more than 6 gigs of ram (an absurd amount to begin with, windows 8 64 bit machines need 8gb to run decently) is to send the machine to ACER and I am sure pay minimum 5 times as much.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat laptop

Pros: I bought this laptop mainly convenience and portability but for handling big tasks revolving heavy CPU performance, and A10 proves that it is definitely the best aspect of this machine. I bought it for $600 and every penny was worth it. Great entry level gaming laptop as it can handle just about any game in the market. The AMD 8750m is great for gaming and it's comparable to Nvidia's 735m and you cannot find a laptop of this capability for anywhere within this price.

Cons: Sometimes you come across the high-pitched ringing noise randomly buzzing off and it can get really annoying. Another problem is that the hinges are a bit too wobbly and my old laptop of 3 years has more sturdiness to it, a slight tap to the screen is all the push you need to move it. Lastly, I don't like how the power button is placed on the side of the laptop, I have a tendency to press it when I want to lift the laptop to place it elsewhere.

4 out of 5 eggsReally Happy

Pros: Dual graphics with an upper mid-level card, delivers good game performance, cheaper than the next tier gaming laptop that MSI set up with an AMD chip which is about 1200 dollars

Cons: Windows 8, sorry just don't like it really does my laptop need metro, and why can't when you close a program it actually close not just skip to the background until f* key it, 5400 hdd, only 6gb memory (a 64bit laptop runs like dirt on anything less than 8gb of ram), lacks cd/dvd media drive(not a real big deal since I download everything anyway, and there is a touch screen model available for 150 more, but fingerprints on my screen would drive me nuts anyway, also what I do miss from my last laptop backlit keys but I can deal without it. Oh one more thing 4gb of the dram soldered to motherboard so you can only switch out one stick

Other Thoughts: Okay I switched out hdd to a 500gb ssd, added 4gb of dram to total 8gb, reloaded with win 7, and now I am a very happy camper. At this time, one of the best AMD laptops available, next would be the MSI gx60, but that is another 500 dollars and I would still have to change the hard drive, trust me once you go to ssd you never want to go back to a spin up hdd especially on a laptop.

5 out of 5 eggsSurprised and happy

Pros: I have never spent time writing a review good or bad, but I like this laptop that much. Light, much quicker than I expected with a 5400RPM HD, Display is nice and crisp, audio is actually very good, I bought a HP Envy with Beats to compare against this laptop and the Aspire beats it hands down. Gaming performance is actually really good, especially for the price.

***See other thoughts for gaming info and some system info that isn't provided on newegg or the aspire website.

Cons: My only con is that the touchpad isn't my favorite. This is a personal feel thing, my wife really likes it.

Other Thoughts: System info for those that are curious.
- Memory speed is 1600
- Laptop has dual graphics as well as easily customizable switchable graphics.

Gaming performance. (Initial OC of 1000/1000 on the m gpu)
- Plays Diablo 3 at around 60fps on high settings, shadows on medium smooth.
- WOW runs anywhere from mid 30s to the 80s depending on the area youre in. I have never had it slow down to the point I would notice. Only way I know there has been a drop in fps is if I am looking at the fps.
- Tomb Raider achieved avg fps of 40 with the built in benchmark on default settings.
Unigine Heaven scores 587 with 23.7 fps on the default settings with high preset.
