In total with the charger 3 to 5 pounds. It's not the world's lightest laptop but I don't have any problems carrying it all day. The charger is also one of the smallest I've seen so that's a plus.

The title says the computer has a 1TB memory for hard drive. But the specifications says a 500GB hard drive limit, is that true? Also can you add hard drive space?

I received this model with a 1tb drive. There are ways to add more space in the cd drive bay but otherwise you'd have to replace the current 1tb with a larger one to upgrade storage capacity

I don't know about the hard drive but the OS is already pre loaded.

Quite easily, actually. No special tools are required to change the battery nor does it require an intelligence level greater than that of a simpleton.

What version of Windows 8.1 does this come with? Is it Windows 8.1 Professional? Basically I want to know if it can be joined to a domain.

It's the standard edition of 8.1 and 64-bit - not Professional or Enterprise, so it is not able to join a domain.

Does this laptop have a DVD drive?
