Is the screen a touchscreen on this computer?

No. It is a standard screen. Some reviews on its color are inaccurate. Overall a pretty solid notebook. Would recommend installing classic shell for it to make the interface operate smoother though.

How do I get the Windows 10 upgrade when it's available? Is it automatic or should I have received a certificate/coupon of some sort?

In this case you have to go to store and type update, then windows is going to show you the new Windows 10 update directly from the store.

It's capable of jack stereo and mic as well, I have yet to try the headset/mic function though as I have not had need of it

what type of ssd card will fit in this model ?

microSD, SD cards fit fine. Be careful putting them in as it
s not a some insert. xdSD cards don't fit and I don't use the memory sticks so don't know about them. But there are USB card readers for all the cards. Hope this helps. I've only owned my Acer for over a week and loving it.

I think you should be able to run these games. You would have to check with each game individually, but I'm fairly confident it will run all of these games, probably not on the highest settings, but you should be able to play.

Yes, it have a desktop. It is the traditional windows 8.1. I did not have problems with this notebook since the day I bought in July 2014. It really worths your money!
