does this pc have a  dvd / cd drive?

No it does not. However you can add one, but the bezel may not work. It uses a thin drive. I do not remember what size , I 
ordered one and it works fine

No CD, it doesn't ship with a DVD drive anyways (but you could add one).

Memory is DDR4, and very easy to upgrade.

NO. This computer does not come with a DVD/ROM drive. It has space for a drive, but you would have to buy it separately. Or just get an external drive (your best bet because it can be used with several devices).

Can I upgrade The cpu?

No, the CPU is soldered down to the motherboard, as is the case with nearly every single laptop on the market at the moment. The only easily serviceable parts are the RAM (2 slots, one free), 2.5 in HDD bay, and an M.2 slot. I popped a Samsung 850 EVO into mine as soon as I got it. Be warned that you will need to find a screw, or be like me and just tape it.

Does this laptop have a slot for an extra HDD/SSD? (Like the Acer Aspire E E5-575G-534)

It appears to have an empty m.2 SATA SSD slot.   Other similar models put an  m.2 SATA SSD in the same place and the connector appears to be there on mine (not tested though).   It also has a slot on the side where it looks like an optical drive would go and
the connectors for that appear to be there as well (also not tested).

No, but it does have a removable cover plate where an optical drive would go and it appears that there is a connector inside which would allow one to be added if you can  find the right size.   Alternatively, it has lots of USB ports and you can get a USB powered external drive easily enough.   I routinely see them on sale for very little money.   Unless you use it all the same the weight reduction of not having it always there might be considered a feature.

If I buy this laptop, I also want to buy a second stick of memory for it. Does anyone know the part number of the RAM that it ships with? I want to make sure I maximize the speed for my dollar (don't want to over/under buy, depending on what the limiting factor might be).

Will this laptop be able to fit in backpacks that fit up to 15 inches for laptops?

Generally speaking, that additional .6 inches isn't going to be causing you any problems. If it's a major concern, I would recommend going with a 14 inch model. However, I have never had a problem fitting this or any other 15.6 inch laptop into my backpack.

I have this laptop and i want to take out the HDD that is installed do i need to back up this computer or do i just take it out and replace it and my OS would automatically be installed?

I did the same thing with my hard drive as soon as I received this laptop. You first need to create a recovery drive (I made the recovery using an 8gb flash drive). In the task bar type in recovery and you should see the option to create a recovery. Just follow the directions when the wizard opens, backup the system files, hit next, then next (make sure flash drive is in at this point) and hit next again.  It will create the recovery at this point. It took a while (30 minutes or less I think) to create but after it finished, I swapped out to my new SSD with flash still in and recovered the system. The speed upgrade is well worth it.
