ZALMAN Ultra Quiet Notebook Cooler Model ZM-NC3

Pros: Good Build Quality, Solid Construction, Great Design, Not too heavy, Pass through USB cord, Feel good in lap too.

Cons: Fan speed is quite low. I can blow harder than this large fan. Everything else goes in vain, if it doesn't serve its primary purpose i.e. to cool down the laptop. Not sure if it will be any helpful with such a slow fan speed.

Pros: Totally quiet, easy to use, keeps computer nice and cool

Cons: A little small for my 17 inch

Other Thoughts: great for the price

only 1 USB port
did not impact temps at all with my 17" Sony Vaio
rubber feet unglued after 1 day of use

Other Thoughts: Perhaps it's just my Sony Vaio VPC-F126FM's intake fan location, but this cooler did not decrease the i7 CPU temp (per Core Temp and Real Temp) during idle or heavy usage. The HD temps were unaffected as well.
You can feel the fan moving air, though not with enough velocity to make an impact.
The rubber feet that hold the unit in place fell off after 1 day of use, shipping this back to the manufacturer would cost as much as the unit, so I am not going to bother with an RMA
The divots in the mesh don't extend all the way down the sides of the unit, so my laptops feet don't sit in the depressions.

I own multiple Zalman products, and purchased this based on their excellent cooling/sound performance, though I'm disappointed with this product. Had temps decreased even a few degrees, I could justify the purchase, though as is I'm not thrilled with this unit.

Pros: It does it cooling and this thing is huge.
It has a female port so no USB port lost.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: This is the second laptop cooler I bought . it had been 3 years since I bought a laptop cooler. I was shocked to see the size of this thing. I don't know if all the new coolers are this big but I am impressed and it is really cool. About to order another one for my old lappy.

Pros: Perfect unit that will stop working one day so I bought another! Watched the price rise and drop $7, but I picked it up for a low $14.95, and my $10 Amex Rebate Card is already on its way. Very professional rebate program! I spent $1000 on this computer and it has already died once. This cooler gives me the fresh feeling of added protection!

Cons: It does seem to suck in a lot of dust and looks funny after awhile. Just proves its working fine & filtering your computers air at the same time!

Pros: I have been using this cooler since last 4 week. It gives enough cooling to laptop. Usb cable has female port on outerside- one more extra usb port- .Note book cooler are necessary once laptop becomes 2-3 year old. This cooler gives extra cooling to my laptop. Large size and it is compatible for 17" laptop also. I am using for 15.4 DELL VOSTRO.

Cons: The power cable comes out from body of cooler- one side of power cable is soldered inside the cooler. I hope that power cable will last long. In past I had ANTEC cooler, it stopped working due to power cable, Most of the time power cable break inside/or internal damage in power cable. I have tested in that case, fan was not dead- it was only power cable.

Other Thoughts: I would suggest power cable should be A to B male cable-A male part for laptop and B male part for notebook cooler. Most of the cooler- [ I have 3-4 brands used] stops working due to power cable[ after 4-6 months or long time power cable break inside] If manufacturer use USB A TO B male cable then notebook cooler will be long lasting

Pros: Love how quiet it is. My last cooler was abducted by my son. I offered to buy him a cooler several times and he kept saying he didn't need one. When he realized he did, he took mine. It was loud and smaller than this. Now he is sorry he didn't just have me order him one. I think I will anyway.

Cons: None yet

Pros: Quiet, comes with a usb slot plug so you dont loose a usb slot, easy to clean dust off

Cons: Maybe the price?

Other Thoughts: I would buy this again if it ever fails on me.

Pros: Really made a big difference in performance for my aging laptop. Providing a lot of cooling.
I do not find the noise noticeable.
Good value for the price (I got it on sale for $14.99.)
Still working fine after 5 months.

Cons: No real cons that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: A minor nitpick: the USB power attachment hooks into the back of the cooler for storage/travel. I found often it very difficult to get it out. It snaps in easily but I basically have to pry it out with a pen. While it hasn't happened, I am always afraid that it will break.

Pros: Nice fan when it worked.

Cons: The USB connector broke within 45 days, just outside of the windows to return to Newegg. What a piece of garbage.
