5 out of 5 eggsLarge Laptop Bag

Pros: This bag has lots of pockets and space in the zipper pouches. Very nicely carries my HP EliteBook 8770 Workstation and charger brick. There is enough space for gym clothes which means one less bag to drag along to work. The lower torso strap feels secure and all straps are in good location. Confident enough in this bag to pack the laptop for commuting by motorcycle.

Cons: Not sure why the smallest pouch is on a flap, latched to the main backpack. Haven't found a use for the mesh pockets under this flap yet, not sure I want anything unsecured in them when I commute by motorcycle. May try them for water bottles later on.

Other Thoughts: I was looking for a good bag to replace my 15" Targus sport, since it's not very good with a 17" laptop. It was bulging at the seams and the zipper was coming apart. Price was great and shipping was fast.

5 out of 5 eggsDurable bag

Pros: This is a very durable bag. I've had it for 6 years now. Originally bought for a 17" laptop which held it comfortably. I then started using it as a day pack for hiking in the mountains. Its been through quite a bit. All the zippers are still functioning. There isnt any tears or fraying anywhere. Its a very well used bag.

Cons: None that i can think of. Does everything I wanted it to do and more!

4 out of 5 eggsLarge, could use some design enhancements.

Pros: Backpack will fit Darnn near any reasonable item in it, including some monitors. I'm not talking about ATX cases or anything, just laptops and peripherals, maybe a lanboy?

Lots of room for modifications.

Cons: The extra storage ares are not configured well. The cellphone/MP3 pocket won't hold a note3 w/ otterbox, but it's close, I'm trying to stretch it out now. There is a part that looks like the "Kangaroo Pouch" I had on my Swiss gear MAXXUM, but it isn't a pouch at all, it folds open wide for? IDK? there's no full pocket on the long side. Luckily I have a friend who can rock a sewing machine. I also grew use to a mesh pocket above where the laptop goes, and this one has no pockets in the laptop area. Waterbottle area is super tight, may make it difficult to fit cycling sized water bottles.

Need a place to hook things to aside from shoulder straps.

The Shoulder straps have no thumb loops, and on bigger people, this makes tightening of the straps once the pack is on a pita. Again, I ripped the loops off my other backpack and will have them sewn to this one.

Other Thoughts: You may find this nit picky, but I just came off a 5 yo wegner swiss gear backpack that I LOVED, and I almost went back to that brand, but this one "Looked" like exactly what I wanted, as I wanted a bigger laptop folder, and a kangaroo pouch. It was close, just frustrating that I have to mod it when my last backpack just worked.

That's why I'm writing the review, you may find this perfect?
Thinking I may put a light strip on it for when I cycle to work.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Big, solid and with a reasonable price. Well build, comfortable to carry, many pockets.

Cons: Not quite good looking? I like it though, some of my friends thinks otherwise. Maybe offering more colors (black/red, all grey etc) would be a good idea. And not checkpoint friendly, I mean the 180 degree flipping open function. But seriously, how many times do average geeks like I am travel a year?

Other Thoughts: Good bag, it will last.

1 out of 5 eggsgood but rips easily

Pros: It can carry my textbooks a few journals etc... It can also fit my Asus G73- barely, but it is still an accomplishment considering its a 17.3in laptop with extended 2inch grill.

Cons: Zippers easily get stuck. It is designed to carry so much stuff, but if the weight correlates with that amount it will start to fall a part. It has been treated. No tossing etc. But the shoulder straps are tearing. The material that binds the zippers are also ripping. Such cheap build quality for a bag that costed 70USD.DISSAPOINTED.

5 out of 5 eggsFast shipping and great backpack

Pros: Fits my Dell precision M4500 and extended battery with room to spare. Tons of space and comfortable. Well made!

Cons: None that I can find it is what I had hoped it would be when I ordered it.

Other Thoughts: My old cheap backpack was never made for the oversized laptops and it blew out the side because I was stretching it over the laptop. This one fits in a padded pocket with a velcro strap holding in in...very nice.

Got it two days after I ordered it and I took the free shipping option that said 3-5 days.

5 out of 5 eggsDurable, Spacious

Pros: This backpack can hold alot of stuff. At one point I was carrying 6 classes worth of books, my 17" HP Elite Book, 10" tablet, portable wifi router, a change of cloths, and a handful of accessories for my electronics 4 days a week at college.

It is quite durable, I've been using my backpack since the fall of 2010 without fail and I still carry it 4-5 days a week.

One of the only bags that can comfortably hold a 16:10 aspect 17" or an 18.3" laptop.

Cons: The plastic buckle on the waist strap is kind of fragile. I managed to break mine off about 9 months after owning the bag. Its not a big deal but be careful not to step on it or let it catch on furniture.

Other Thoughts: Overall I couldnt have asked for a better bag for the price. My wife carries a bag that cost over twice what this one did which would not be able to hold my laptop, and its not wearing as well as this targus bag is.

5 out of 5 eggsASUS G74Sx Fits Nicely!

Pros: This backpack was made for my G74Sx at 17.3+ size. If you been looking for a backpack with space for the power brink (G74Sx has a large one), other associated attachments and books, then this is the back pack for you.

Cons: Would like to have seen double stitching at the handle, but, should last a while if not yanked with a load in the pack.

Other Thoughts: This backpack can certainly be loaded down, so be prepared to place a load on your back, and if you do a lot of foot traveling it will give you a great workout.

5 out of 5 eggsGood stuff

Pros: I sometimes have to carry two laptops and a netbook as well as a whole load of supporting hardware.
This laptop easily held all of it.

The rubberized carry handle is a nice upgrade from previous targus backpacks I've owned.

Smells kinda nice, like starch.

Cons: Might not fit in the overhead, or go all the way under the seat on smaller regional jets.
I had to turn it sideways at the request of a flight attendant and then it was kinda encroaching on the footspace of the person next to me.
