4 out of 5 eggsNice enough to give refund

Pros: They gave me a refund!!

Cons: No cons on this.

Other Thoughts: I previously wrote a review that hammered this lock. I still stand by what I said but kensington gave me a refund for this lock given that I was so dissapointed and that the lock is clumsy. So atleast they are considerate and I thank them for that.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's a lock

Pros: Can't say much about it. It's a cable with a combo lock on the end. The cable is plastic coated and flexible. It's not a large cable so it's small and easy to store. It won't stop someone who really wants your laptop but it will slow down the average low life thief.

Cons: You get what you want / pay for

Other Thoughts: It works for me, besides you should not leave your laptop in a unsecure area anyway.

1 out of 5 eggsThis lock sucks and is difficult to use....

Pros: The color thats it!

Cons: The wire coil is short, It's very difficult to use and the instructions are horrible. The number dials are so close together that it's very easy to rotate two dials at once and that's what happened when I was setting the new code on the lock and then after I disengaged the key from the locking mechanism the correct code was lost because I accidentally must've rotated a dial while taking the key out (which is easy for anybody to do), I called kensington customer service and they told me that it's my fault and the product was defective now!!! What happened to me could happen to you, I'm on the last day of my 90 day satisfaction guarantee (not cuz I waited, cuz this is the fist time I tried it out) and I'm sending it back. There is no safety mechanism on the lock to stop accidental rotation. DON'T BUY THIS LOCK, look for a safer one in terms of use. I would've given them a zero rating if possible.

Other Thoughts: P.S. I'm a Computer Science and business with one CS class left and 0 business classes left away from graduating, currently taking it. I know what I"m talking about. Not just because I'm a CS major but because this lock is horrible and is a royal pain to use or operate, it's always twisting and turning and is to small. If you have bigger fingers or even medium forget this lock. This lock is for people with alien thin fingers and kid size hands. DON'T BUY IT!!!!

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I like the color, It matches with our organizations color theme. Pretty strong, but seems like a pair sturdy wire cutters would cut right through these. But so far, our IMAC is where i left it and not stolen, so its working.

Cons: Took me a while to figure out that this was not like the t-shaped lock we were using on our existing IMAC. Also doesn't indicate that its even compatible with IMACs but it is. I thought it was gonna be different, because thinking the T shaped edge was universal, i guess the one i had was really old. It looks like a T-shaped locking mechanism that spreads apart when you lock it.

Other Thoughts: This locks slightly different than the one I had. It doesn't necessarily split apart after you've inserted it and locks in a slightly different manner involving rotating it a certain way and pushing the oppsite end in till it locks in place. Took me a few minutes to figure it out but once it was in, it was very secure.
