The Targus Lap Chill Mat provides a comfortable and ergonomic work surface to keep you and your laptop cool. The Chill Mat rests on your lap and disperses heat, using dual fans to provide ventilation which can be obstructed if the laptop is used on a pillow or comforter. Simply plug the USB connector into the laptop to activate cooling. The ergonomic tilt makes typing easy while the soft neoprene material provides cushioned comfort on your lap. This one is quiet, I have had some coolers before and they were all too loud. Cons: mine was missing the 4 rubber grips on top. I called the manufacturer and they sent some free shipping overnight. Cons: I purchased this item for my Toshiba sattelite i7 8gb 500 hd. I play game at night. it get very very hot. My Laptop shut down. This is not a good sign. Rubicon 4/30/2011 3:20:12 PM Tech Level: 3/5 Ownership: 2/5	Rating: 5/5Actual LAPTOP cooler Pros: Flat bottom covered in neoprene is comfortable on your lap. 2 quiet fans move a decent amount of air. The fans draw air in from the sides, not the bottom, so its still efficient if used on your lap or on a soft surface like your bed. Cons: Fans are not replaceable, I haven't had it long enough to rate how durable it is. Other Thoughts: I don't understand why most manufacturers of laptop cooler all follow the same design, install a larger fan that draws air the same as the laptop does, from the bottom, where it can be blocked by clothing/surface. This is the only laptop cooler i found where it draws air from the sides where airflow can't be blocked. 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful. Did you?
