1 out of 5 eggsMuch Better Coolers for only 10 extra bucks

Pros: Cools fairly well during gaming, can be elevated.

Cons: not sturdy at all, one fan broke on me after the smallest of drops. it feel very cheap, the cable connections feel cheap. everything about it screams rip off honestly. but it did cool my laptop well while it lasted

Other Thoughts: Spend a little extra on something worth it in the long run.

1 out of 5 eggsAvoid

Pros: Worked for 2 months.

Cons: Stopped working after 2 months.

Other Thoughts: I used it daily for around 2 months and the connector to the actual cooler stopped working unless you held it just right. My advice would be to spend a little more on a more reputable cooler.

4 out of 5 eggsHad this for several years, still running

Pros: Great cooling, adjustable feet, and pop out lap top rubber supports. Good life time. Holding a 17'' laptop no problem. Durable. Cools my laptop by at least 5c with 1 of the fans under my intake.

Cons: Plasticy, although tough. I have traveled 1000s of miles with this thing in my laptop bag and it has survived. But remove the cable in the back. I had this bumped recently and it got jiggly. Still functional but not solid anymore. Also lost 1 rubber laptop support.

Other Thoughts: Overall after many years of use, and travel. Its still working although it is as loud as my laptop. But overall good product.

1 out of 5 eggsUsed? Broken? Cracks!

Pros: Its nice and quiet, High airflow

Cons: So i got this laptop fan today, and it looks like my fan was refurbished or something. The first thing i saw out of the box were cracks in the plastic ! there are 3 places in the plastic where its broken, like someone snapped in 2 and super glued it back together. Just terrible. why did i get this used product? I paid for a "new" product, did i not? and when i use the fan speed controller, it sounds like something is loose inside! i hear plastic rattling inside ( something is probably broken ) i would request a new fan, but i don't want to send the fan back, then wait another month AND i don't want to pay the "restocking fee". Lastly, the usb power connection wobbles around.

Other Thoughts: The fans work well, but the plastic and build quality is sub par, to the point it looks like it was broken at one point then super glued.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy to use, nice wire storage, runs well.

Cons: Too small for my laptop, recommend for laptops 15.4" or smaller.

5 out of 5 eggsnice

Pros: looks are not un-appealing, functonal (somewhat) metal heatsink bit in the middle, got it to help out a friend's laptop that was having major overheating issues when playing anything more than flash games. now he runs the cooler on max all the time b/c it's quiet and his laptop is noticably cooler TO THE TOUCH

Cons: not for everyone's color pallete, could be a larger size, but hey, that's your fault if you can't get yer "big" laptop to fit on it and benifit, as the LT that this one's on is bigger than the cooler, yet *STILL* benefits to even those with very little tech knowledge.

Other Thoughts: it looks snazzy IMO only thing to worry about for now is longevity, but considering my friend used to use a house sized BOX FAN to cool his laptop, and not as effectively as this thing's doing, I'd say it's worth the investment. his LT is an older (near when fallout 3 was bleeding edge gaming) dell xps, but this thing keeps it from further frying. worth every penny

4 out of 5 eggsJust plain works.

Pros: I've had this thing for about a year and it works just fine. Keeps my laptop cool even during the hottest days in summer.

Cons: A bit bulky, but not overwhelming. The USB dongle can be quite annoying at times, especially if you move your device often.

Other Thoughts: I will say a few of the blades broke off. However, in this instance, it is not entirely the fault of the product, but rather of the pencil that was shoved in them while the fans were moving. Don't you just love small children?

2 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: Very light. Fairly quiet.

Cons: Only marginally better than a table. Poor power connector quality.

Other Thoughts: As with other reviews for this cooler, the power connector came loose or failed on the two that I have. As one reviewer mentioned it may be possible to resolder the connection. Didn't give it 1 star because it actually did work at some point.

3 out of 5 eggsEhh

Pros: Worked decent for a while. Cheap.

Cons: Cheap. somewhere between the cord and the fan, there was a short and it stopped working.

Other Thoughts: Would not recommend.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointing

Pros: For a time it looked like it actually reduced my laptop's processor temperature by a few degrees.

Cons: Cooling was limited from the get-go. The power cable can become loose or bent with terrible ease. These were problems I had before its little tumble. Yes, mine fell. It fell with my 5.5lb laptop about two to three feet off a couch arm to a carpeted floor. Both fans had a blade bent. I had to remove the blades in order to get the fans moving again. The left fan remains relatively quiet but the right fan sounds downright awful now. I don't use it anymore, but having had it only since February, I haven't been able to bring myself to throwing it away yet. As for how my laptop handled the fall? It's as if it never happened.

Other Thoughts: For external hard drive enclosures there's no one else I bother going to anymore, VANTEC is it. But this notebook cooler is no good. I'd stay away from it, far away from it. Its cheap plastic fans have no durability to speak of.
