Antec Notebook Cooling System (Black) Model NOTEBOOKCOOLER

Pros: Has kept my gf's laptop cool for over a year.
The rear fan is going bad, makes noise, and doesn't spin as fast as it used to. This would cause lag during gaming. As long as this cooler was underneath and running, no lag!
Silver color matched nicely with her grey/silver laptop.

Cons: No option to turn off blue LED...
Rubber feet that the laptop sits on could be more narrow to fit more laptops, but it still works fine.

Other Thoughts: This laptop PULLS air away from the bottom of the laptop. Not sure if this is better than blowing air INTO the bottom as other laptop coolers do. As mentioned above, it DOES work as it prevents lag during games on a laptop that has a failing internal fan.

Pros: Great it held up this long I guess. Metal surface is great for MacBook Pros that would probably melt a plastic one.

Cons: The coaxial connector on the fan is busted on the inside and no plug will work of course. Also on both my laptops the fan for the CPU is off the to the side and the cooling is pretty directed to the center with this fan.

Other Thoughts: I actually ripped the thing open and soldered the wire it came with directly into its controller board. Not even really sure why it was a separate piece.

Pros: Cools my 17" laptop well.
Easy to clean
Good price

Cons: None for me.

Other Thoughts: I have 2 of these.

Pros: Good size for my 17 in. laptop.
2-speed fan, low=quiet, high=moderately noisy.
Solidly built except for the power plug (see Cons).
Low profile, not very high.

Cons: No on-off switch.
LED is bright, can't turn off, is on the left side.
Power plug (round 1/8 in. dia.) loosens up over time so it won't keep device powered.
Doesn't move much air, barely keeps my laptop cool.
Odd X-shape, serves no function.
Fan speed slider-switch is hard to reach, close to power plug so the plug gets moved a lot and weakens it over time making it non-functional.
2 80mm fans; 1 large 200mm or 220mm fan moves more air and is much quieter.
The fans are placed to only cool the middle of the laptop, not very efficient.

Other Thoughts: A good deal for the price. If you need a lot of cooling, spend an extra $20 and get a good Zalman or Cooler Master.

This is a moderately good cooler, very solid except for the power plug which loosens up over time to the point where it won't keep the device powered. It doesn't move a lot of air, but is sufficient to keep my laptop moderately cool, but is not great.

Pros: Ran quiet... before the bearings died

Cons: Fan speed button is hard to reach, Blue LED is VERY BRIGHT as in use it as a flashlight bright. Bearing went out in left fan after 2 months

Other Thoughts: Ordered the fan on 3/17 received on 3/22. Today is 5/25 and while it technically still runs the left fan makes a huge noisy rattle which will lessen briefly if you shake it or change the angle it is sitting at severely.

Pros: I have had this for 6 years and it stills work flawlessly. Helps to keep my hot running laptop cooler, which from my point of view can only prolong my laptops life.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This cooler was paired with my laptop shortly after I bought my laptop, they are both 6 years old and stilled paired and running flawlessly. Antec makes good products in my opinion and I would not hesitate to buy their products.

Pros: I bought this when it was on sale for $10 after my laptop began to heat up a bit. I have a 17 inch laptop and this little cooler fits under it well. Some previous reviewer mentioned that the holes in the aluminum would scratch your laptop, but the cooler comes with rubber stands that you need to put in yourself so I think they just didn't see those. It's also very quiet on low and some what noisy on high.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: There's a really bright blue LED near the power plug that lights up when it's plugged in. While it was probably meant to show its on and working properly, it didn't need to be so bright. The LED lights up my room like a Christmas light in the middle of the night.

Pros: Quiet, makes a noticeable difference when playing games on my laptop. I have an HP and it gets VERY hot when being used for gaming or anything else that is demanding of the machine. This fan is also very light and is actually slightly smaller than my 16" laptop, making it easy to transport this fan in my backpack along with my laptop.

Cons: The blue LED power light is way too bright; if it was white it would be borderline flashlight. My biggest con about this fan is that the power connection went bad on me. When it is plugged in I can rarely get the cord to sit in a position where it makes contact; this makes the fan virtually useless. I tried re-soldering the connections from the power socket to the chip board but that didn't help (unless it was my lack of skills in doing so).

Other Thoughts: Easy to take apart to clean the dust out of if you desire; the feet are a little troublesome to get off in order to access the screws as they are glued on very well.

Pros: This Laptop Cooler has been the best for myself and family for Years. We bought are First Antec Notebook Cooler about 3 years ago.
When we bought our laptop for our Wife we bought a cheaper model..it lasted only 2 months. Went right out and bought a Antec. We have now 4, one for every family member, and a Back up..

Cons: Power cord does not have a USB Extension to it. Can be a little loud, because of the Dual Fans.

Other Thoughts: I am not Tech Expert, but this Laptop cooler has been the best for us.

Pros: cheap, cools laptop 10-15 degrees dual fans

Cons: short cord, did not come with the pass through, blue light, where the cord plugs into the cooler is loose now, and will lose connection, now I have to keep the cord tight at an angle so the cooler will stay on
