5 out of 5 eggsgreat bag

Pros: nice construction, i like that the front pouch (where you might store the pens) has zippers to open it.

Cons: might want two buckles instead of just one

Other Thoughts: i will buy this again

4 out of 5 eggsGood bag; ok strap

Pros: Has all of the pockets and padding that you would expect.
Bluetooth keyboard pocket is cool.

Cons: The strap will get tangled because the attachment points are fixed.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Sturdy Bag

Pros: It held up to two years of school with an Asus G73SW. It can store a ton of stuff and it is all kept in relative safety because of the padding built in.

Cons: Nothing has broken so nope.

Other Thoughts: This thing is a monster! I am able to fit my new p150em, the charger, another 15.6" laptop monitor, the stand for the monitor, the power supplies for both, a small switch along with 3 ethernet chords, my mouse and my headset.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Laptop Bag EVER!

Pros: -Outstanding durability
-Holds over 40 pounds of stuff...
-Huge expansivness
-Fits 17.3" Toshiba Qosmio X305, AND it's cooling rack (almost 4 inches) in the main laptop compartment (separated by that padded thing)
-Fits the enormous cooling brick that comes with my laptop
-Fits 3+ external hard drives, a gaming mouse, several peripheral cables (USB, HDMI, Apple cables), flash drives and adapters
-Fits cleaning rags, normal rags/small blanket OR a tablet in the lid-flap pocket
-Fits a drink on the side, though I've never used that
-Buckle still works
-Zippers still work

Cons: -Internal plastic piece used to keep the case ridged under its primary handle snapped at a point between the two bolted sections after about 4 years of extremely heavy use.
-Zipper handle-things eventually broke off, but the zippers themselves were flawless

Other Thoughts: I have seriously used the daylight out of this bag. I received this bag around 4 years ago as a gift. I've since bought one more for my other (identical) laptop so I could have matching bags. They changed the zippers slightly in those 4 years, and the shoulder strap feels a bit shorter, but overall it's the same bag I love.

I'm Targus for life after my experience with this bag. It's seriously tough. I've used it every weekday over-loaded with far more stuff than it's advertized to be able to hold. I've dropped it, thrown it, had it in rain, slipped with it on ice, crushed it... you name it.

It holds far more in the main compartment than advertised, as it allows me to put a thick, 17.3" laptop in AND put a thick 2-fan cooling rack in as well. With the laptop and the cooling rack, I've got the huge power brick, 3 external hard drives, a large gaming mouse, several cables, rags and sometimes a tablet. It weighs a ton with all of these things in there, but the case was a champ and took it.

The zipper handle-things eventually wore out and snapped off, cuz they were a rubberized plastic and just wore down. The zippers themselves worked perfectly, didn't catch or breach once.

Aside from the typical wear and tear of heavy use, the case did break in one spot. There's a ridged plastic plank/beam under the top handle. One time when I was hoisting it out from the back of my car, over the head-restraint, the plastic broke where one of the sides of the handle is bolted in. The case was perfectly usable afterwards, but it was a bit more flimsy.

This break prompted me to buy another, and retire my original case to a passive, home use case for my second, identical laptop and rack. The new case, as I mentioned before, is mostly the same. A few cosmetic changes, and perhaps stronger zipper-handles, but it feels and behaves just the same as my original.

I look forward to another 4+ years of heavy, heavy use.

I cannot recommend this case enough. All of the CityGear series from Targus are outstanding and strong.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Sturdy bag. Carries my laptop and handles the occasional cat laying on it. Got it with my laptop from Dell.

Cons: NADA

Other Thoughts: I have this thing packed to the brim. I have my Inspiron 17R, its cooling pad and power adapter, external audio block, Logitech mouse, assorted cables and discs. I have this thing packed down with about 15 lbs of gear and it shows no wear.

5 out of 5 eggsUsed 7 days a week for 2 years.. flawless

Pros: Extremely high quality carrying case. I've used it for the last 2 years 7 days a week toting a 7lb 17.3" laptop and coolermaster U2 cooler all with not even a slight sign of wear on the bag.

Has tons of pockets and places to store cables, usb flash drives, dead bodies, you name it.

Cons: Not the most professional looking compared to leather cases, etc.

Other Thoughts: Totally worth the investment. Had to buy a new bag when moved up from 15.6" and this one has not let me down.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat bag, nice and durable

Pros: plenty of pockets, very sturdy

Cons: some of the pockets within the inner zipper flap are somewhat loose (elastic stretchy band to hold in your items), but nothing to worry about really
