5 out of 5 eggsHelp, Plz....

Pros: Does this item support the AM2 socket? I have the AMD 6400+ X2 CPU (dual core)

I have read the specifications, but it is unclear if this HSF will supprt my CPU..?

I also have the ASUS Crosshair motherboard aswell.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Please help...

4 out of 5 eggsWhere is Asus Silent Knight II?

Pros: This cooler is nice. Though, the Asus Silent Knight II says it cools the Voltage Regulators better and the II looks like a lower profile as the heatpipes are curved at the bottom, probably won't be as tall as a result, from the pictures I've seen.

Cons: As DON said, newegg needs to get Asus accessories stocked quicker. I may end up having to buy the Silent Knight II somewhere else. Though I bought my Striker Extreme and other components here at newegg.

Other Thoughts: I have the Striker Extreme mobo and it can't just use any CPU heatsink because of the chipset heatpipe setup. I adds cooling, but also gets in the way of some performance cpu coolers.

5 out of 5 eggsComparing Asus Silent Knight and ZALMAN CNPS9700

Pros: You want your CPU to be overclocked and run under 40C? Blue LED, I cannot hear any sound that coming from this fan. Also it doesn’t look like any others you see on market. Absolutely quiet I boot up QX6800 temp was 27C (and I got 35C on stock Intel cooler) and load was around 36C. I overclocked from 2.66 to 3.2 on this fan and my temps are 33C and load 38-39C. As you can tell that fan is actually fully covered under heat spreader so it’s practically invisible. Very easy to install comes with all supported motherboards brackets, Clips on top of CPU and it's one of the strongest clip Fans I’ve used, if you deciding between ZALMAN you should know that it’s bigger with fully open fan and performs not better then Silent Knight.

Cons: none, wish newegg would get Asus products faster then every one else <3

Other Thoughts: This is #1 Air CPU Cooler on market I was wating for mothns before it showed up on newegg, I was ready to buy it from Australia for alot more $$$ then here and risk is the product is actually gonna be delivered. After it finnaly showed up here I got it.

2 out of 5 eggsNot the best bang for the buck.

Pros: The Led's are a nice touch, and it does offer plenty of cooling with the 6 pipes.

Cons: The base was polished very poorly. I expect better conductivity for this price. It's big. Really big. it is set high enough to not cause any problems on the mobo (check that ram), but make sure your case will take it (most will).

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Awesome Product
Stays very cool to the touch
Nearly Quiet
very solid

Cons: Due to Asus motherboard had to mount sideways, This HSF however accommodates for that so not to much of a con, Especially considering I have 2 rear fans at CPU area

Other Thoughts: 38c(Idle) - 46c(Load) on a Socket 939 a8n-sli Deluxe Athlon64 x2 3800+ setup using Arctic Silver 5 running in a slightly over clocked system.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This is a large cooler with sharp edges but even the average system builder can work with this if they do their homework. The first system I tried it on the results weren't as good. But with the right configurations it will be perfect. At idle I get 32 degrees celcius and under full load for 30 minutes it only goes up to "43 degrees celcius tops!" CPU is an AMD X2 6000+ oc'ed to 3300. This thing can move heat faster than any other cooler I've ever seen, great product!

Cons: Doesn't work horizontally on a alot of Asus boards unless you happen to have a top blow hole, in which case you can mount it vertically and point it straight up to allow the heat to rise. Because the area to the right and left of the socket is cramped on alot of boards, the extra mounts don't work on the ones I tried.

Other Thoughts: I currently have this cool looking beast on my M2R32-MVP, with an AM2 socket, a horizonally opposed processor socket that blows it out the back. It cools so well you can touch the fine under full load and it just feels warm, not hot. Thanks for offering and really great product.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Cooling Device

Pros: None.

Cons: Fragile, HUGE, cumbersome.

Other Thoughts: CPU temp at idle with X6800 on P5WDH OC'd to 3.3GHZ was 49C with "scary night". I shut down the computer when I tested with load from fear my CPU would fry. Hooked up a Mini R80 and idle temp went to 31C. Mobo NB went down, too. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter Performance than expected

Pros: I upgraded from a Blue Orb HS which happen to look really nice. To my suprise, the small fan is really quite. I'm spinning it at 2,000 RPM with a fan controler and 2,500 RPM when gaming (couldn't hear a sound from it). Beat the Blue Orb to the ground. Overclock more stable than Blue orb and imidiately increase my 3Dmark06 score by 3k+ at the same clock speed. Has Blue ambient led light build in. All copper which make for really good conductivity. And yea, it look like a designer product.

Cons: Newegg price. I got it about $4 less. Who knows, newegg drop prices randomly on item every day, maybe you get lucky.

Other Thoughts: I love the Egg replacement policy, beat returning to manufacture which can take up to months for a replacement..grrrrhhh.

5 out of 5 eggsPRetty good

Pros: this is has good has air cooling gets. i dont have the best case for for fans. but this heatsink did wounders on an old case. went from high 40 and 50 to mid 30's in temp. with a better case im sure id have low 30's

Cons: not easy to install, and instruction suck. good thing my friend goes to itt tech.

Other Thoughts: easier install, and get me a beer. amd 5600,2 gigs pqi turbo, raid zero caviars, fatailty mobo,
