5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful

Pros: ASUS did a great job... Dropped the temp. 10º from the CPU stock cooler (Intel's blah)... Barely (and I MEAN barely) fit in my tiny Micro-ATX desktop case (In-Win's nicely put together IW-BT611T.300SL)... Anyways... good job... Its also QUIET

Cons: Well... uh... ASUS could save some money and not put any thermal paste... since pretty much every system builder clicks on that 'Customers also bought...' thermal paste (always gets me... that box is truly too easy to check)

Other Thoughts: Good job Newegg

5 out of 5 eggsI like it

Pros: Ive never enjoyed putting a heatsink on until today. Zero stress. Same size as the stock cooler so it fits.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Motherboard( Gigabyte) didnt boot. so i had to remove the sink again(Easy). ordered a EVGA board. And am looking forward to simply putting the sink on it =P

5 out of 5 eggsFits My Micro ATX MOBO

Pros: Under full load this keeps my Quad Core at 47C.

Cons: If Intel was a puppy I would rub it's nose in it for making that stupid push-pin junk!

Other Thoughts: It took me a while to find a good H/F that would fit my Micro ATX motherboard and this one seems like it was made for it. I'm running a GigaByte GA-73PVM-S2H motherboard in a mid tower.

5 out of 5 eggsJust what I needed

Pros: Efficient cooling without being huge. I bought this thinking it would be easy to reverse the fan for a silverstone sugo installation and it was. Now it's pulling air through the heat sink up into the 120 mm fan on the PSU above it. Temps are hovering around 32C at idle and around 47C at load with the stock grease.

Cons: Fan power cable is a little long?
Plastic clips holding fan are a little fragile, I broke one reversing the fan but who else needs to do that?

Other Thoughts: Overall an awesome cooler for a SFF istall. I can't say anything about how load it is as I have too many other fans blowing around to tell which is which.

4 out of 5 eggsShould be the stock cooler

Pros: $20 (mid Feb. 09).

It has a back plate + screws.

After reading all the horror stories about the plastic push-pins of stock and other coolers, there was no way I was going that route on my new build.

This cooler is about 2x taller than a stock E8400 (Wolfdale) cooler but otherwise is very similar. I've not tried the stock cooler so idk how much better the fan or cooling capacity is.

Fits on an ASRock P45XE mobo (barely). Provides good cooling to the NB and regulators, unlike some other CPU cooler solutions.

I've not tried OC'ing yet but will update when I do (waiting on AS ceramic paste).

Cons: -1 egg, not newegg's fault:

* shoddy packaging
- no bubble wrap/styrofoam/cardboard - it's just the cooler and the back-plate in a thinish cardboard box.
- the screws had almost made holes in the bottom of the box
- the surprisingly thin plastic shield on the bottom to protect the thermal paste was in pieces (paste was undamaged, though)
- the waxpaper slip to cover the adhesive on the back-plate was 1/2 way off due to the part not being secured in the box.
- as many have mentioned, you may have to remove your mobo to install backplate type coolers of any kind. That depends on whether or not your case allows adequate access to the back of the mobo.

Other Thoughts: ASRock P45XE
E8400
2x2GB G.Skill 1066
HD 4850
WD SE16

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Quality

Pros: This fan has a bracket that you install to the back of the motherboard for the fan screws to screw into from the other side. This provides the best performance. I will never use a fan with the plastic breakable fasteners again. This fan is quiet and is keeping my CPU temp cool. Very good quality and awesome performance!

Cons: none

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for the Price

Pros: Very quiet. Fits perfectly on my asus p5n-mx motherboard. Loved the screw-in style fastening.

Cons: Not as cool as I hoped, but still effective.

Other Thoughts: Running my C2Q6600 ~37*C idling and peak of 53*C under MAX load (ie, 4 cores running at 100% for several minutes). Beats the stock intel fan by far.

5 out of 5 eggsAMAZING!

Pros: This H/F keeps my Quad Q6600 2.4 at 31C! When I OC'ed it to 3.1, it barely hit 42C. I would highly recommend it! Thank you Asus and and thank you NEWEGG for always being the best!

Cons: Absolutely none!

Other Thoughts: The 4 screws are a major plus in my book. I personally hate those plastic push pins... between having to bend your mobo to get them in, and then trying to get them back out with any damage is... well, not good, lol. These screws are perfect... holds everything in place and i know that there is excellent contact between the cpu and heatsink.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Keeps my Core 2 Duo E8400 around 32 degrees Celcius @ 3.28 Ghz. Very easy to install with no problems. Excellent value.

Cons: Came with thermal paste already on the contact surface, which i had to clean off to add my artic silver.

Other Thoughts: I'm very pleased with this item. Intel should contact Asus and make a deal to use this item as their standard cooler.
