Cooler Master's RR-CCH-LB12-GP "Hyper 212" has been rated among the top ten CPU coolers by several reviewing sites. Designed to cool the full range of current Intel Socket LGA 775 and AMD Socket (AM2/940/939/754) processors, it does so with gusto. It features a unique split fin design that puts more surface area within the area of the over 69 CFM of airflow from the 120mm blue-LED lit fan. A second fan can be mounted on the opposite side for additional airflow and improved cooling.
A selection of mounting components allow the user to obtain the optimal installation of the cooler to the motherboard so that the cooler's copper base is snug against the CPU's heat spreader. Four 6mm U-shaped copper heat pipes draw heat away from the processor up to the array of aluminum convection fins which they support. The heat is dispersed at a silent 19 dBA by the fan which spins on long-lasting sleeved bearings.
Pros: All I ccan say is, Wow..... This is absolutely the best heatsink I have purchased to date. I am running a Phenom X4 9860 (BE) and I have not seen the temps run over 50*c, ever (Even after a little overclocking). Talk about silent too, I have tried over and over to hear a peap out of this fan and there is no way I can I can hear if over my x1950 Pro's. I was concerned at first with the size/weight being too much for the bracket but after I installed it (which included bolting it to the motherboard) it was very secure.
Cons: Even though this is the best cooler I have purchased, there is still a con. Size... Even with a full tower case, I had to take out the side panel fan just to close my case. The only other thing (though I dont REALLY consider it a con, was installing the thing. you literally have to bolt it to the motherboard while its out of the case. Other than that though, A+!!
Other Thoughts: Would buy another in a heart beat! (Assuming I had the space)

AMAZING overclocking air heatsink

Pros: - Look ma! LEDS! - AMAZING cooling ability - Screw mounting with backplate makes you feel very comfortable with the stability of the installation - VERY quiet, my antec 900 fans running on medium setting blocks out any sound that could be produced by this heatsink fan. That's saying quite a lot considering the fans on my 900 doesn't even make a noticable sound.
Cons: - Kinda big compared to stock heatsink (not a big problem considering almost all good performance heatsinks now adays are at least this big)
Other Thoughts: I own the q9550, overclocked it from 2.83Ghz to 3.62Ghz on stock voltage of 1.20v (1.18 on cpuz) ran the intel burn test for 5 rounds, and monitored the temperature using realtemp 2.70. The highest temperature it reached was 52 degrees celsius. Typically even while running intense programs like prime 95 or HOURS of gaming, the temperature won't even reach 50 degrees.
Also I just want to add that the person who invented the push pin installation for intel heat sinks should die.

Pros: The main reason why i bought this one is because the heatsink is HUGE. The 120mm fan pulls away a majority of the heat which is then sucked out of my case by my external fan. The blue lights are a nice touch. Overall, this is a very nice heatsink + fan especially for the low price.
Cons: Although, after about three months the fan started to have problems. It works like an old car and needs time to warm up before it will actually start to spin. The warm up time takes close to 2 minutes. Even after that, the fan seems sluggish and occasionally will makes noises as if something wasn't aligned correctly.
Other Thoughts: Like i stated in the title, this was an awesome CPU cooler until the fan died. Replacing the fan is an extreme inconvenience as i have to take out my motherboard from the case and remove the heatsink (which took forever to put in) in order to get to the screws to remove the fan.

Pros: This thing is a monster. I have yet to get the computer running yet (either memory or mobo video is bad) but this thing will def. keep my phenom II cool when i overclock it. Easy to install. Cant wait to see how cool it keeps everything. above all it is quiet, super quiet.
Cons: because of its size and my choice to run a micro atx i cannot upgrade it to the two fans since it will cover the first two dimm slots. other than that nothing. make sure it will fit in your case. my case is a coolermaster cm690 and it fits nicely.

Pros: this heat-sink is absolutely incredible!
i have a phenom x3 720 (with unlocked 4th core) 2.8 ghz overclocked to 3.8 ghz. the idle temperatures are 33 C and full load is 38 C
the cpu never goes above 40 C even after extreme overclocking.... this thing is incredible
Cons: The Fan is a little loud, but its worth the amazing cooling the blue lights are more purple
