Easily add extra cooling and color to your desktop with the Cooler Master Blue Ice Motherboard Northbridge heatsink and fan assembly. Adding a cooler for your Northbridge helps reduce overall temperatures inside your case, increasing performance while eliminating the need for your other fans to work harder to cool your motherboard.

No tools are needed for attaching the copper heatsink to your motherboard; just a simple adhesive fastener is used. The assembly's aluminum extrusion fins draw heat away from the Northbridge, while the 40mm, 4,500rpm fan on top of the fins blows the heat out to your other system fans.

Simply install the assembly, connect it to your motherboard's standard 3-pin fan connector and it's ready to go. Plus, three blue LEDs add a little extra color case's interior, perfect for those with see-through side panels.

Chip Fan Replacement A8N-SLi Deluxe

Comments: I just replaced my chip fan with this one. I did not use the fins it came with so I do not know about the stickiness problem. The fan simply screwed right onto my existing fins. I did not have any trouble at all (I did not have to drill out the fins in order to make the screws fit. They were a littel tight but they did work with not much torque. The fan plugged right into the 3-pin MB outlet and works fine as far as I can tell. I would purchase this again. The sticky pad does seem to be a little lacking when i peeled off a corner and touched it--but i did not use it.

Pros: Works great after switching to water cooling.

Cons: Thermal tape is poor, just used some tie wraps to hold it in place.

Other Thoughts: Wish Cooler Master would have put an extra dollar into some decent thermal tape.

Pros: Fit on my north bridge no problem with no spacing issues. Looks neat and the copper heat sink is a for sure +

Cons: The provided sticky pad included on the underside of the heat sink looks weak and I read it hardly works. I didn't even give it the light of day.

Other Thoughts: **>>Buy arctic silver thermal adhesive and use it with this product. I pealed off the sticky pad on the back of the heat sink and cleaned off my north bridge with rubbing alcohol. I then applied the adhesive and the assembly. So for is working perfect.

Other Thoughts: this fan is always at 4800 rpm's! so shes a loud one, but it gets the job done.

loudest fan in my computer. antec 300 all fans set to medium and i can still hear this one over it.
