COOLER MASTER DK8-8ID2A-0L-GP 80mm Rifle CPU Cooler

  • 25.2 dBA
ICON Loading...

Step up from your processor's stock AMD heatsink-and-fan assembly with Cooler Master's DK8-8ID2A. The aluminum heatsink offers affordable heat dissipation for AMD Athlon 64 CPUs up to 3700+ and Sempron 3500+ or faster. The 80mm fan pulls heat up away from the heatsink's fins and pushes it out towards your case's other cooling fans to give you effective cooling at a low cost.

The heatsink clips quickly and easily into place and connects to your motherboard's standard 3-pin fan connector for power.

  • newegg Extra Quiet The rifle bearing 80mm fan works at a whisper-quiet 25.2dBA.
  • newegg AMD CPU Compatible The Cooler Master DK8-8ID2A supports AMD Athlon 64 up to 3700+ and Sempron 3500+ or higher for efficient cooling.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good !

Pros: Wonderful heatsink & fan. I upgraded from Sempron 3400+ to Athlon 64 3700+ Clawhammer just to keep my aging socket 754 PC alive from the landfill for extra one or two years. So i bought this CoolerMaster thing for amazing price of 5.99 + 5.99 shipping. It installed easily, it came with already pre-applied thermal compound and its cooling my cpu wonderfully, Core temp is 40 C when idle, and 60 C under Full load. Trust me, thermal paste is very good, and saves you the hassle of applying it yourself.

Cons: No cons, for the price you can't ask more. It provided adequate cooling, i wish the fan could be faster though.

Other Thoughts: If you have socket 754 mobo and wan't to upgrade to a faster cpu this a great solution.

5 out of 5 eggsEXCELLENT BANG FOR BUCK

Pros: CHEAP, efficient

Cons: -

Other Thoughts: I have this on my 939 3800 x2 overclocked to 2.5 ghz, it idles between 37 and 40 'C in a well ventilated case. After half hour playing BF2 it is at 47 'C. There are bigger coolers out there, that cool better. But for FIVE BUCKS??

5 out of 5 eggs"Cool" Product

Pros: Very low cost cooler for 754 .. over an AMD 64 3200+. The cooler is keeping the chip nice and stable. Installation was a breeze, even had grease already applied so no need to hunt my grease stick. Can't go wrong with this.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsREALLY good!

Pros: Keeps my Athlon X2 4200+ AM2 90nm at 18c idle and 33c 100% load. Thats REALLY good for a 8$ cooler.

Cons: Virtually NONE.

Other Thoughts: Very good cooler I highly recommend it

5 out of 5 eggskiller product

Pros: I strapped this cooler to my 3700+ Amd Athlon and I've never had a problem with it. Cools well enough that at idle and with a 70' room temp the fan will cut off. Very good for the money.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: i recommend this for any 462 or 754 socket build. it seems like it could cool a chip higher than a 3700 as long as its not OC'ed.
