4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Cooling!

This review is from: Cooler Master Eisberg 240L Prestige – High Performance All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Copper Radiator

Pros: -Low Temperatures
-Expandability
-Copper radiator
-Strong pump
-Build quality

Cons: No Backplate is the biggest issue, if there was I believe a lot of these reviewers would have a change of heart. It was convenient not to have to remove the motherboard but it takes time to actually get enough torque on the push in brackets to mount the CPU block well enough to get full contact with the CPU.

Other Thoughts: I believe this is the best CLC you can buy besides maybe a H320. I get results similar to full loop cooling. This destroys my corsair H80.

This is the way to go as it's expandable.

1 out of 5 eggsHard to install, fragile, manual unclear, not worth the money

This review is from: Cooler Master Eisberg 240L Prestige – High Performance All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Copper Radiator

Pros: Works decently, even with only 1 fan. I would imagine it works better with 2, but I'll probably never know.

Cons: Fans and pump are loud. What's the point of having a water cooled system if the water cooling is louder than the rest of the fans on my system? Even with the fans off, the pump emits a pretty high pitched ring. One of the fans was DOA, which is a huge shame considering it took me like an hour to install this thing. If you don't have a large case, I suggest going with a different water cooler. The manual is very unclear, pictures are small, some screws are similar and there is very little in the diagrams to differentiate between them. It's hard to even tell which is the fans vs the radiator in the diagram, and you're done if you get it backwards, because you'll puncture the radiator and be out nearly $200. The install was really hard, as well. You've got to go through your case, the fans, a rubber gasket, and THEN into the radiator. You'd better not have the wrong screw, because again, you'll puncture the radiator and not know it until it's too late. Why? Because you can't see the end of the screws you're putting in, and there's very little to screw in, anyway. I feel like the whole thing is just going to fall off into my case one day due to the screws vibrating loose.

Other Thoughts: Unless you're extremely skilled with these things, get a different water cooler. This thing is an overpriced, fragile, headache waiting to ruin your day.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Brian R,

We apologize for the trouble that you are experiencing with the Eisberg 240L. The Eisberg does come with a 2 year warranty. We can ship you a replacement fan for free since the fan that came with the kit is defective. The pump dba is actually quite comparable to other pumps on the market. If it is too loud for you then we suggest using the molex adapter to decrease the pump RPM.

Please contact us for further trouble shooting.

3 out of 5 eggsExactly what i was expecting

This review is from: Cooler Master Eisberg 240L Prestige – High Performance All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Copper Radiator

Pros: Keeps very good temperatures while gaming. Looks good. Good build quality. Can be used to cool more than the CPU with a custom loop. The included fans are alright but i would replace them with better fans if you are planning on overclocking.

Cons: A little bit loud when powering it with 12V.

The mounting hardware that came with my cooler was either the wrong size or there is a design flaw. The mounting screws are way to long. I had to shim them to make sure they don't go right through the radiator.

Other Thoughts: I will still give it a 3/5 because of the build quality and the looks, but i am very disappointed with the mounting hardware. Again i am not sure if they sent me the wrong hardware but i was very surprised by the length of the screws. They were long enough to go right through the radiator with the fans and the rubber grommet.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Cooler!

This review is from: Cooler Master Eisberg 240L Prestige – High Performance All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Copper Radiator

Pros: Well what can I say, doing pro gaming on ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition LGA 2011 Intel X79 with a Intel Core i7-4930K Ivy Bridge-E 3.4GHz which I have overclocked pushing 4.4 GHZ stable, using the 12v option keeps me around 30+- degrees Celsius . The most I have been able to achieve while doing stress test is 45 Degrees Celsius. Now on the cpu you have a 5v 7v and 12v option on the cooler. I have some mesh on my case and is pretty option for airflow etc. I can hear the cooler working away on 12v, yea its a little loud but I use a headset which totally negates the sounds. The 7v is hard to hear and you have to listen for it over the ambience and the 5v is pretty dang quite. Now with that said I have a 230mm fan which you can hear over room silence to the computer being on. So that being said the Cooler does have some noise but not enough to bother my personal level of threshold. The factor of keeping my CPU below 45 is fine in my book for a little noise.

Cons: Well if you compare coolness to noise I have no complaints.... some may not enjoy the low sound it makes but headphones can easily negate the sound, its really not that loud for me....

Other Thoughts: The installation was a little tricky as the instruction book hold very little on which screws are for what. I had to look in the manual a few times and compare screw length/width to the actual holes on my Motherboard. For the 2011 socket you know that the push tabs don't fit and one set of screws are too small, leaving you only one option. Nonetheless the quality of the cooler is great and didn't have problems installing the fans to the radiator, I mean the fans even have arrows showing airflow direction...Taking a little time to inspect and install paided off and this cooler is AWESOME!

1 out of 5 eggsRuined mounting holes

This review is from: Cooler Master Eisberg 240L Prestige – High Performance All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Copper Radiator

Pros: Expandable

Cons: Useless

Other Thoughts: Useless since mounting holes got ruined after a few tries.
Don't buy this if you expect a high quality product.

3 out of 5 eggsAverage

This review is from: Cooler Master Eisberg 240L Prestige – High Performance All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Copper Radiator

Pros: Cold

Cons: Pump is whiney higher than 7V.
Manual is useless.

Other Thoughts: I'm not overwhelmed or underwhelmed by this product. It does what it states and can handle overclocking quite well. Stock clocks on a 4930K ran around 20C idle, 35C at standard game load, and 48C on BF4 all settings maxed. Add about 10-15C at 4.4GHz.

So take it as you will, a game changer this is not.

2 out of 5 eggsBuy something else

This review is from: Cooler Master Eisberg 240L Prestige – High Performance All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Copper Radiator

Pros: Works well if you run a system at stock, kept stable temps on prime95.

Cons: the pump is unbelievably loud at 12v. It doesn't cool my OC'd 8350 better than the zalman max 9000 it replaced. The included fans are total garbage as the fan itself easily pops off from the motor (held on by a drop of adhesive)

Other Thoughts: There are better options out there. Don't get suckered into the "German" engineering and copper plate and radiator. Somehow.. this system did not measure up. I'm not a noob, have been hands on for a decade and am very disappointed in this purchase as I don't have money to throw around. In a sense I am now forced to go buy something else as this product did not measure up to what I needed.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic!

This review is from: Cooler Master Eisberg 240L Prestige – High Performance All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Copper Radiator

Pros: I do not even know where to begin. Over the last week or so I've been nothing short of amazed from this liquid cooler. It was not even 6 months ago that I had built my very first PC ever and had finally decided to build one of my own. From the get-go I had purchased an H100 water cooling system for my Haswell i7. Little did I know that it did not support my 1150 socket (I swear I read that it did somewhere) and had to return it. Which did not bother me because with how my motherboard was placed in respect with the case putting that particular one on my CPU would have required taking out the entire motherboard. Was not exactly up for it.

Months passed on and figured since I do game quiet frequently it was time to invest into a cooler. I don't know if anyone has ever heard of the phrase, "Buy it nice or buy it twice," but to me it's been some of the best advice I've had when it comes to electronics. Although I do not consider this to be the best cooler on the market, as to my knowledge, but for me it has worked nothing but wonders for it and plus installation was easy! Yes the directions are printed very small in the tiny manual they give you but with sufficient light I was able to read it just like anything else and my vision is not 20/20 either.

What I liked in particular was how quick installation was. For the most part the installation of the fans on the radiator took longer than placing the block on the CPU after applying the thermal paste.

*Just keep in mind the long screws are for attaching the fans to the radiator and the small screws are for attaching the actual radiator to the case or wherever you're mounting it to. Took me a few minutes to figure this out :)*

As far as the noise goes? It's a radiator with two pretty good sized fans and there will be some noise to it, but honestly it is still overall quiet for me. I have not heard any "whine" or anything of the such.

How's the cooling you may ask? Before the cooler my CPU stayed about 75 degrees at 4.0GHz with the stock fan (Haswell i7). And now, it runs about 41 degrees! Still overclocked! Probably going to do some more overclocking in the near future but I'm perfectly content with 4.0.

Cons: Honestly if I had to say anything against this cooler or the installation of the cooler is that I wish I would not have done this on my floor....that was a pain in the rear. Other than that I really cannot say anything bad against it.

Other Thoughts: Overall for my first experience with any sort of liquid cooling it was a great experience and I will be doing more of these in the future as well. If you're looking to get yourself something that will keep your CPU nice and cool and want it to last for years on end this would be the first direction I would point you towards.

2 out of 5 eggsSo much for German engineering

This review is from: Cooler Master Eisberg 240L Prestige – High Performance All-In-One CPU Liquid Water Cooling System with 240mm Copper Radiator

Pros: N/A

Cons: I've worked with many closed loop liquid cooling systems, they can be annoying to install sometimes, but not this bad. I have a CM HAF 922. I knew it wouldn't fit in the top fan slot with my cpu4 power coming through. But considering the ability to put a 240mm lcs radiator on side panel, you wouldn't think it would be a problem, especially considering it is the same brand. Yet, the holes on the radiator don't match up with the side panel holes for the case. So on top of how frustrating it is to line up 32 holes (radiator, fans, rubber paddiding cuz screws are too long otherwise, and case holes) while trying to somehow balance all this, for it to not even work was the biggest waste of time and money I've ever spent on any computer ever. And I've built LN2 systems (not my money, but time is money).

Other Thoughts: Between the chintziness of case, and now this, I'll never build using a CM product for any clients or recommend for friends again.
