4 out of 5 eggsDecent cooler

Pros: Much better cooling. Dropped my temps from 75c to 55c. Although that could have been in part from how bad the thermal paste was on the stock cooler. Quieter than the stock fan.

Cons: It comes with separate ram sinks that will stick to chips on your video card with an adhesive. Poor design, mine kept falling off while I was trying to put the card into my pc. I ended up putting a tiny amount of ceramique on the middle of the chips, since then the little heat sinks have held for about 4 months.

Heat is blown back into the case instead of out like on the stock cooler. As long as you have decent airflow in your pc it shouldn't be a problem. I didn't notice any increase in my case ambient temps.

Other Thoughts: Much better cooling than the stock, expected better from Thermaltake though. As long as you can keep the little heat sinks on this is a very good option.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Easy to install. Lighter than stock 8800GTS cooler. Cools better than stock 8800GTS cooler (I dropped about 10C at idle and more at load). Quieter than stock cooler too.

Cons: Not free.

Other Thoughts: Got this because I got a card with a bum thermal sensor (Avoid Leadtek... terrible customer service/support) and didn't want to mess with manually cranking the fan to 100% everytime I game.

5 out of 5 eggsNot a review, but a Q for those who has it

Pros: I'm trying to sli my 8800gts 320mb version from pny, but before i spend money down for a other 8800gts, i need to know what is the depth of this card, is the fan/heatsink smaller then the stock one or is it bigger, cuz my motherboard has it's two sli slots close to each other so that's why im asking, thanks.

Cons: Above

Other Thoughts: please help

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: In response to the post below.

Cons: ..

Other Thoughts: Oddly, I have the same EVGA card(640MB), and had no problem installing this fan. Took me about 10min tops. If you follow the directions step by step everything goes flawless. After using this fan for about 2 weeks, I've noticed a 3-5 degree drop from my stock fan. I would recommend this item to anyone who's looking to upgrade their card's cooling fan.

3 out of 5 eggsUpdate on my previous post

Pros: I probably would have kept it if it fit my card.

Cons: It didn't fit.

Other Thoughts: I'm just updating on my previous post so that people know which card I tried to install this heatsink on. http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16814130071
"EVGA 640-P2-N821-AR GeForce 8800GTS 640MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP" The screws did not match on the bottom and it did not cover the entire card. If I installed this heatsink, about 1/3 of the card would have been left uncovered (parts where the heatsink should be making contact). Which model did you install this on?

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Easy installation. Manual tells you step by step what to do. Not sure what the post above me did wrong. But I had no trouble whatsoever. I also own a 8800 GTS from EVGA.

Cons: Unlike the stock fan, this one does not disipate the hot air out of the computer case. Instead it directs it towards the front of the case, which may pose a problem for a few with heating problems. If you have good ventilation then you wont see this as a problem.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I'm really happy with this product. I would've given it 5 stars if the fan was designed to direct air out of the case.

3 out of 5 eggsDoesn't fit my 8800GTS (eVGA)

Pros: Looks nice and seems* like it may reduce heat.

Cons: It doesn't fit 8800GTS like it says!

Other Thoughts: I own eVGA 8800GTS 640RAM. Don't get it if that's what you have.
