3.5 yrs. and still running
- Pros: Have used the older version with older style waterblock and slightly larger resevoir for 3.5 years daily without ever having a leak or failure. Excellent quality product.
- Cons: Installation booklet left a little to be desired. I had to buy a seperate tube splice connector and 2x clamps for the setup I used. Resevoir filler hatch nut cheap, required taping down with velcro tape for airtight fit.
- Other Thoughts: Old AMD XPM-2600 at 1.9vcore at 2.61ghz. for 3.5 years. Load temps never exceeded 43-44C. All parts still working without a hitch, and as a matter of fact, I only added fluids once for a mild top off about a year ago, and since no loss by evaporation or leakage. I'm about ready for an Apogee upgrade for my upcoming build.
Performs well, but item recieved is not what is pictured
- Pros: Very silent. Performs very well. CPU temps down to 16c idle from 45c, and 37c load from 75c. 5600+ OC to 3.0
Nice starter kit
- Cons: Not the product I ordered. Saw other reviews about missing items and wrong items so I check with Egg's support. Was told that the items were correct, and if they were incorrect, they would take it back and refund my order (less shipping). Took my chance, but it was wrong in the end.
Missing a few clamps, tube coils are GREEN (very ugly with the blue water) The resevoir was supposed to in a 5.25" driver bay with the pump, in a single unit. Res and pump are seperal. I made due, but had to modify my case to make everything fit.
This was not why i ordered this specific kit.
Great starter
- Pros: Great WC setup... Keeps my 6000+ @ 3.32 nice and cool. Very easy to setup. I leak tested mine on the workbench for 24 hours before installing it in my system.
- Cons: Newegg was out at the time of my purchase and had a pay a little more than they sold it for.. But oh well...

The H20-120 Premium kit is essentially meant as a universal product. It ships with all the necessary hardware for the following processor (classified by the type of sockets that they use):
Socket 478 (Intel Pentium 4),
Socket 775 (Pentium 4 "Prescott", Pentium D),
Socket 603/604 (Intel Xeon - 400 and 533 FSB)
Socket 604 Intel Xeon "Nocona" 800 Mhz FSB - see note 1 below
Socket 462 (AMD Athlon, Duron, MP, XP) - see note 2 below
Socket 754, 939, 940 (AMD 64 bit processors).
Note 1: Dual processor users: Since the H20-120 Premium kit is provided with one water-block only, you will need to procure another Apogee water-block for your second processor. The "Nocona" hardware is not included with the Apogee water-block when sold separately, and it should also be procured separately under part number: AP-NC604 ($3.00)
Note 2: AMD socket 462 (socket A). The Apogee can be used exclusively with motherboards featuring the 4 mounting holes around the socket.
Removal of the motherboard is necessary to install the mounting posts in all cases, except with AMD Athlon 64 and Opteron (socket 754, 939 and 940). |
