4 out of 5 eggsThermal Paste = Garbage

Pros: All copper fins.
Fits the slim 2011 rectangle mounts.

Cons: Thermal paste that comes on this is garbage.
The packaging does not have any way to prevent dust from the factory or storage area from getting on the thermal paste........
One I got came with thermal paste in checkered pattern with dust.
The other one I got was solid thermal paste pattern also covered in dust and junk.

Other Thoughts: Buy some arctic silver paste when purchasing this product.

Make sure your board is compatible with LGA 2011 slim bolt pattern.

5 out of 5 eggsThis is for the NARROW LGA 2011 socket

Pros: Fits well, cools well, reasonably quiet.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Regarding the other reviews complaining about the fit - there are two specs for LGA 2011 coolers. This is the narrow one. If you pick the wrong one for your motherboard, it won't fit. It's not defective - just the wrong part for your application.

3 out of 5 eggsFits X9DR3-F

Pros: Fits SM's X9DR3-F. FYI people, there are two LGA2011 sockets.
*NARROW* LGA2011 socket = 56mm x 94mm
*SQUARE* LGA2011 socket = 80mm x 80mm

This R14 cooler is ONLY FOR THE *NARROW* LGA2011 socket

Measure your LGA2011 mounting holes from each other and if it's equally spaced at 80mm then you have a SQUARE LGA2011 socket
and this R14 will NOT fit!

Cons: PWM fan is VERY LOUD at full speed. So if you are running
heavy CPU loads for long times, just be forewarned, that it
WILL get loud. However at idle it is extremely quiet.

1 out of 5 eggsDOESN'T FIT LGA 2011 SOCKET

Pros: pure copper fins, no brackets to mess with, looks like a good quality product

Cons: The specs indicate that this heak sink is only compatible with the lga 2011 socket. Apparantly they mean the "other" lga 2011 socket or the engineer that took the measurements just had a really off day when designing this thing and didnt bother to test it on lga 2011 compatible motherboard.

***THIS WILL NOT FIT THE LGA 2011 SOCKET, it's not even in the ballpark!

Other Thoughts: my mobo: ASUS P9X79 deluxe.

...This heatsink should be pulled off the shelves.
