3 out of 5 eggsCHEAP!

Pros: Works and keeps RAM cool, looks nice, blends nicely in a color scheme, solid looks.

Cons: Looks solid, and that's about it, it is VERY CHEAPLY MADE! on the back side there is no cover and wires for fans just hanging out, fans are cheap too, no PWM feedback wire, had to bend out metal fan bracket so they wont scrape the frame.

Other Thoughts: with this purchase I completely disappointed in Zalman's well renown quality, this one just drops a ball!
only reason it gets 3 eggs, because it does work, but really, their solution for quite mode is a resistor between a wires? really? another problem, that bracket for holding the whole thing is made of metal, which in theory is great, on practice, on many motherboards less than half an inch below ram slots located first PCI-E with really expensive graphics card inserted in it. really nice way to get some adrenalin pumping with metal plate hangin a hair away from GPU core, solution was simple, packing scotch tape on the plate, but plastic bracked would eliminate that issue completely.

4 out of 5 eggsI was skeptical

Pros: I never thought having a couple of tiny fans on my RAM would make much difference. Wow, was I wrong. My RAM is still DDR2-800 OC'ed to 1066 and this thing really helps keep it cool. It's also much quieter than I expected, I can only hear it if I turn all of my other fans way down, and even then it is just a light hum.

Cons: The case around the fans is plastic, no aluminum. The only metal is the frame and ends that clamp to the RAM slots.

Other Thoughts: Worth the money, you won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsZalman Ram Fan

Pros: best available ram cooler for the price defiantly a difference in ram heat output on standard pqi ddr 512+512+512mb single channel

Cons: thumb screws stick out a little too much but not worth an egg

Other Thoughts: adapts well to older boards as well as newer ones

5 out of 5 eggsmy pc needs a jacket

Pros: I used it with Cooler Master V8 result was very noticeable.
I'd been building my new budget AMD x6 1075t PC not long realized the stock fan was a bit warm and very noisy, also 4 slots of DDR3 1600Ram at 800MHz was really hot after all the installation ram runs like room temperature. I even over clock 5% still been very stable for days.

Cons: new egg sent me the silver one instead of blue color.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Sturdy
Moves Air

Cons: Fans started clicking (I can't tell what they're hitting, if it's the heat sinks on the RAM, the cooler structure, or what) after about year of daily use.
Doesn't move a lot of air - it only dropped my RAM temps by 1c.
Fan speeds not constant - using a red light in a dark room (to see the reflections better), I was able to observe the fan speed up and slow down slightly in a predictable cycle. I tested with another fan (to check to make sure it was the fan port on my MB), and it operated at a consistent speed.
Almost too long, especially with the thumb screws on the bottom.

Other Thoughts: This kit was being used on 4Gb (2x2Gb) 1333Mhz Dual-channel DDR3 ram (factory clock and timings) - I was expecting more from a Zalman product - they used to be the top dogs in cooling,
Zalman could improve the design by providing a set of standard screws to go along with the set of thumb screws. Then their customers can pick what they need and where based on their system. Perhaps some better fans are in order too?

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Value Customer,

Please go to our website and file a RMA if you haven't do so. Thank you for your time and patience.

3 out of 5 eggsIt worked

Pros: Helped keep the FB DIMMs cool on our server which didn't have any good, direct airflow over the memory.

Cons: Not quiet.

Other Thoughts: Everyone's level of quiet is different. For me, these fans were anything but quiet. They spun slow enough that there wasn't much wind noise. But they had a terrible amount of clicking and bearing noise. I've heard people complain about similar things with Zalman fans before. I could have just got a bad sample. Maybe damaged in shipping at some point.

Good news is that it's in a rack-mount server with a couple other servers nearby so the noise really isn't an issue. But I would never use this on a desktop PC that I would be sitting near. But then again, memory cooling really isn't necessary unless you're really pushing some high-voltages. Or if you have a server that uses fully buffered memory.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat Cooler

Pros: Works well, it is quiet and would install easily for some users except for interference with my video card in my MSI GD70-65 AMD FX motherboard

Cons: The ram attach brackets are really too thick ! I had to modify ( file down about 1.5 to 2 millimeters of metal ) one end of the aluminum bracket to get it to play nice with my Saphire 5870 as it was hard up against the back of the card. This of course has killed my warranty! Once again a great idea killed by lack of engineering knowledge of how the product will be used by an enthusiast who will be the sum total of who buys this product ! Zalman are you reading this??

Other Thoughts: They really do work well though keep my ram really cool just had to refine the fit and finish of the product change the screw style and fuss about Zalmans engineers overkill by putting a really thick piece of aluminum as the bottom holder!! LOL

5 out of 5 eggsLove it!

Pros: Very quiet even at full speed! Solid construction with nice rubber grips to grab the memory clips. 60mm fans cover 6 dimm slots very nicely! I used this to replace a similar unit from Corsair with 3 40mm fans and this one is quieter and seems to push more air. Not only that but the build quality is way better! Went through two of the Corsair fans and both ended having fans fail with awful buzzing, grinding, and vibration. Hopefully this will last much longer. Not my first Zalman product, and won't be my last!!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Intel Core i7 920 DO, Thermalright True Black 120 Extreme, Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5, 6GB OCZ Platinum DDR3 1600 7-7-7-20 1.58v, EVGA GTX 275 SC 720/1584/1296, HT Omega Striker 7.1, 2x250GB Seagate Barracuda in Raid 0, 1x1TB Seagate Barracuda, Lite-On iHAS224-06, Samsung SH-S223L, Silverstone DA-650, 3 CoolerMaster R4 120mm fans (2 case, 1 cpu cooler), Sunbeam 6 channel fan controller, Thermaltake Armor+ MX.
