5 out of 5 eggsExelent

Pros: Cools my GTX470 stock temps from 50-60 to 30-40 after overclock to 810 Mhz clock with 1.50 volts. Very good

Cons: A little bit loud but it is worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: This thing dropped my idle temps 20C and dropped my full load temps temps 30C. Compared to the stock fan this thing is still not loud when you turn it up 100%.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I now have my GTX 470 OCed to 750/1500/1750 @ 1.0V and the highest temp I have seen stressing and benching was 67C.

4 out of 5 eggsVery Good Cooler

Pros: Straight-forward install, good craftsmanship, good performance, quiet, fan control

Cons: Large. Takes up 3 slots instead of 2. Expensive, somewhat hard to justify upgrade for a card that you might not have that long.

Other Thoughts: I bought a refurb 470 GTX to pair up with an existing 470 GTX that I had. I started having issues with artifacts and crashing after the cards heated up a bit.

With this cooler, my refurbed 470 runs 30 degreees(C) cooler than my stock card! At idle, they were running at 47 and 36(stock, Zalman), and under load they were at 90 and 60. I'll probably get another one.

4 out of 5 eggsMajor improvement

Pros: Definitely does what it says it will. My average temp dropped 20C.

Cons: Had to pull of the cover plate since one of the fans kept hitting it and sounded like it would break off.

4 out of 5 eggsWill work on cards not stated

Pros: IS IN FACT 100% compatible with ALL Reference design GTX 570's.

Cons: It will take up 3 slots.

Other Thoughts: i do not own it, however i know people who do own it, this is why i can CONFIRM perfect usage with GTX 570's.

Stock temps using the GTX 570 + this cooler are about 35C idle and 58C load.

5 out of 5 eggsindescribable

Pros: So i had my evga GTX 470 running @ stock speeds and with the stock cooler, it reached 85-90 C under full load. Idle temps were at around 45C.

Now, with this Zalman VF3000F, i have my clocks set to 775/1550/1850 (GTX 580 speeds almost), and it idles at 32 C, while full load tested with Furmark reaches around 75-80C.

This OC gave me a 30% increase in FPS with 3DMark 11 and a 1000 point score increase. The fan is only set to medium (which is inaudible), and increasing it to High drops it a few more degrees C.

The thermal grease it comes with seems good, but it was very difficult to spread smoothly on the gpu chip. Probably going to remount with Arctic Silver 5 and test the results.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Recommend everyone get this for a cheaper, INSANELY efficient way to get more power out of your GPU.

5 out of 5 eggsre review

Pros: ok so its me smokey again... read other thoughts... please

other review was with a 955 be idling at 28c well i took of the heatsink due to new cpu and mobo combo and there was a bunch of air bubbles in thermal paste... so i installed the cpu+mobo+as 5 (1100t) and overclocked at 4.1 ghz 100% stable idles at 17 to 18c and never goes above 40c(i live in a basement its alttle cooler down here than your normal room but not much at all...

Cons: alot of money??? $100 just about!! im not going to make the rating go down by messing with the egg count but you can cool perfectly with much cheaper parts... and modifications.. cooler works great by the rating so it is what it is... but just know i spent way less money and my card runs cooler thats all lol

Other Thoughts: so besides the fact that i took the heatsink off and replaced stock thermal paste with slver, cleared all the wires up around the case.. and have a delta 120mm, 120 cfm on side panel fan blowing right on it!! today i took the outer plastic housing off the card and cut a hole for a 80mm fan with a dremmel and placed a vantec tornado on the heatsink of the card directly over the gpu now my card idles at 30c now and i love it.... shoot crazy amounts of air out the card slots.... lol

i got the vantec 80mm fan(108cfm) for 7 dollars on a bid shipped(i got lucky as heck?) and got the silver for 6 something... shipped... and the delta 120mm fan for 13.00 shipped(i needed a side panel fan anyway)

so my card runs cooler than i think everyone's here for less than 20 dollars

so cause i already needed side panel fan(should always have a nice side panel fan if you have a nice graphics card. cfm and if you care dba +company brand is what to look for!!! ) i spent about 14 dollars in total

4 out of 5 eggsSoon to purchase

Pros: 2 x GTX 465 SLI
1 x 9600GT Dedicated PhysX

Centurion 590 case with 7 120mm case fans

2 x Scythe @110CFM/ea exhaust on back

2 x 120mm case mounted @78CFM/ea exhaust on top

2 x 120mm case fans mounted on side and front Intake

1 x Antec 120mm case fan @60CFM velcro strip mounted on top of my 2 GTX 465's

OC'd i7-920 @4.0Ghz with Antec 620 Liquid Cooling

Cons: You know what? My main GPU still gets up to 100degrees C in Crysis Warhead @1280x1024 reso Max settings

Oh the other 2 video cards are just fine and barely reach over 60 degrees C

Crysis is the only game that heats up my video cards to this extent in any other game it never exceeds 60-70 degrees C.

Other Thoughts: To people reading Smokey's Review; What do you think?

Still think you don't need the aftermarket cooler?

I'm gonna go with my gut on this one and say I need the aftermarket VGA cooler for my Main SLI card.

Thanks for the review Smokey.
