5 out of 5 eggsgreat little fan

Pros: moves lot of air, not that expensive, does what it should

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: This is a great fan and moves lots of air BUT it is VERY LOUD if you do not use the resistor that comes with the fan.

Once you hook it up with the resistor it is very quiet and that's what I did.

2 out of 5 eggsLOUD

Pros: Works

Cons: Very Loud, can live with it, but quiet should be no where in the name of this product.
Yes it works, No I will not buy from Zalman again, and advise others to do the same.
What else are they misleading about?

Other Thoughts: A Molex plug would have been nice, I probably didn't research well enough, thinking," hey this is Zalman, they are the kings, right?"
WRONG !!!
They are the same as everyone else, nothing special here, move along.

4 out of 5 eggsQuiet little fan

Pros: Quiet, moves a decent amount of air, decent accessories kit.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I had this on a Dwood bracket keeping my VRMs cool on my video card. It worked perfectly, moving air across the VRMs quietly.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Hyper TX3 replacement fan

Pros: I bought this to replace the fan on a spare Cooler Master Hyper TX3/Rocketfish Universal CPU Cooler heatsink assembly that I had laying around and it works perfectly. The CFM and RPM ratings on this Zalman unit match the specs of the fan unit that ships with the Hyper TX3 pretty much perfectly. Unlike the CM/Rocketfish fan that comes standard, this Zalman unit has a 3-pin connection (instead of a 4-pin) so PWM functionality must be manually set up in the bios; which is no big deal at all.

I'm currently using it to cool off an AMD Phenom II X4 820 processor and it performs every bit as well as a regular Hyper TX3 with the standard fan would. Load temparatures have not exceeded 48 degrees Celsius under a full load in Prime95; which is amicable for just this single 92mm fan and only one 80mm exhaust case fan backing it up in a micro-ATX case.

Cons: Like others have pointed out, it would have been preferable for the unit to come with traditional metal screws; but the silicone screws get the job done more than well enough. They might even minimize the vibration levels even more than traditional screws would permit, making it quieter; so this may not really even be a "con" at all.

Other Thoughts: Can't comment on it as a case fan, per se; but I imagine that if it pushes more than enough air to cool off a warm running 95W quad-core processor with great results and does so quietly, it would work great for its intended purpose as a case fan perfectly. Definitely recommend this product and Zalman is a good, reputable brand with a pretty strong track record.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat 92mm fan but DOES NOT COME WITH SCREWS

Pros: This is my go to "budget" 92mm case fan. It is a good value and moves a decent amount of air for the noise level. The 7v resistor cable that comes with it makes it very quiet.

Cons: Does not come with screws but instead has the silicon pin mounts. Fan is pretty loud when operating at 12v (without the resistor cable)

Other Thoughts: Don't really understand why they couldn't include 4 simple screws. The silicon mounts will work 99% of the time though.

For anyone having trouble using the silicon pins, just stick the silicon pin through the case hole and then through the two holes of the fan. Then, use a good amount of force as you pull on the silicon pin until it snaps into place. There is potential to break the pin while pulling but I have not had this happen to me yet after many mounts.

5 out of 5 eggsBest 92mm fan for the money

Pros: Moves a lot of air, comes with resistor adapter if you need/want to limit it's speed, quieter than the Sunon I replaced. Silicone things are nice, if you can get them mounted.

Cons: Didn't come with screws, and the silicone things were too tricky for me to get mounted. Seems like you had to pull on them until they would break to get ON the fan .. let alone on my case.

Other Thoughts: No LED! I do not need a LED fan. Seems like all fans are LED this or that .. if you're looking for a great plain 92mm fan for your case, get this.

5 out of 5 eggsFan of a fan

Pros: Moves plenty of air. Quiet @ 2600rpm. Build quality is excellent. The oil well was not overfilled, like some manufacturers coughermmcoolermastercoughcough.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I'm using this fan as the "pull" on a Cooler Master Hyper TX-3. Performs it's job admirably, even though the push fan spins a little faster. This allows me to turn both fans to 30% and still achieve decent cooling and silent operation.

5 out of 5 eggscool fan

Pros: Bought one of these for a LOKIE (sp?) CPU cooler for a push-pull effect.

Silent fan, pulls all the hot air from the heatsink as advertised. Works great!

Cons: Wish it came with a bracket to clip onto existing CPU heatsinks...wishful thinking I know..but why else would someone buy a 92mm fan? That's the weirdest size!
