For sizzling hot graphics that won’t burn up your video card, take a look at this Zalman VF700-CU VGA Cooler. If you’re a gamer, or you work extensively with moving images, this device is a ‘must have.’ This specialized model keeps your GPU running at much lower temps for consistent, extraordinary graphic images.
A fan controller comes packaged with this exquisite model; thus, affording you the opportunity to switch the fan between ‘Normal’ mode, where sound dips to a mere 18.5 dB, and ‘Silent’ mode, where noise is totally eliminated. This means you can catch a flick or engage in other audio-intensive PC mayhem, without the whirring noise of the fan!
Not only does this VGA cooler include a dual-pipe heatsink crafted out of 100-percent pure copper to protect your video card, but 8 copper heatsinks designed to protect your RAM modules as well. After all, if your system memory fails to keep its cool, how can you expect graphics to look their finest? For high-end gaming and graphics protection, the Zalman VGA Cooler is the way to go.
Pros: Easily outperforms any stock cooling setup. Lowered my idle temp from a stratospheric 63 celsius to a much more manageable 36.
It looks really cool, just like any Zalman product, and is really quiet.
Cons: The ramsinks don't fit my card, but I don't need them.
Installation is a bit involved, but it's not difficult.
Other Thoughts: I've got a eVGA 6600GT AGP, and this is pretty much the only alternative cooler that will fit it. The reason is the 6600GT is actually PCI-e, and there's an extra chip to translate between AGP and PCI-e. If the heatsink for this is integrated into your card's stock cooler, this won't work.
To make room for the AGP-PCI-e translator chip, the mounts are about 2cm higher than the 6600GT PCI-e (or any other card). The cooler extends out about 2cm over the edge of the card, and might hit the side of smaller cases.
Read the compatibility guide on Zalman's website.

Pros: Wonderfull cooler. Silent on 5V mode, and very quiet on performance , which is great since I love to keep my computer very quiet. I have a BFG 7800GTX OC and with the reference cooler on it, I'd hit almost 80C at load and idle in the high 50s! After installation, I idle in the Mid 40s and load is around high 50s, never going past 60-61 C. Very happy, and there are enough ram sinks for the BFG 7800GTX OC Contrary to previous reviews. Perhaps the previous reviewer misunderstoon the IC chip on the card to be another ram chip, as there are only 8 ram pieces on the board.
Cons: None!
Other Thoughts: Get it, now.

Pros: Mounted to my xfx 9600gso perfectly. Keeps my card at 43 degrees C in silent mode (5v) and 40 C at regular voltage. The original fan was non variable and very loud all the time, this is much much quieter and still a good bit cooler. My load temperatures went down from a max of around 80 C to 72 C in silent mode and around 68C on full speed. Very quiet, easy to install.
Cons: It looks like this would have easily fit a 92mm fan
Other Thoughts: Too many cables, their are two 5v and two 12v plugs, I'll probably pull the pins out of the adapter so I only have one of each.

Pros: this went on a 8800gt. on stock cooling i was seeing 71 degrees on idle and 95+ on load. installed the cooler, which is really easy btw, took all of 20 minutes, and ive never done that before. after the cooler was installed, my idle went down to 51 degrees, and i now have it overclocked quite a bit and on load i am seeing 75 degrees. so a 8800gt on a substantial overclock is 4-6 degrees hotter on load than idle on the stock fan....i will buy a vga cooler for all my videocards from now on. extremely happy with this purchase!
Cons: none what so ever.
Other Thoughts: stock cooler 71 degrees on idle, 95+ on load zalman install 51 degrees on idle, OC'ed with 75 degrees. i can find my calculator, but i know these numbers are awesome

Pros: Everything! Price, performance and noise. I had this for over two years on a PNY 7600gs and it seemed to handle the job just enough. At the time I had an old Antec Super Lanboy case. I've since moved into a CM Storm Scout and put this cooler on a Sapphire Radeon HD 3850 AGP and WOW! This cooler works so good in a proper case that on auto fan control my card idles at 37c and the fan stops! Furmark torture test only gets it up to 71c after 60 minutes and the fan never spins up past 70 percent. How quietly the fan runs is the biggest bonus. Though noticable at 100 % you really have to listen hard to hear it at 70%. All in all this is a very good product in the right case.
Cons: I paid almost 50 bucks when I bought it over two years ago.
Other Thoughts: For $30 it's a must have for cards it will fit.
