4 out of 5 eggsworks great but HDD conectors are poorly designed

Pros: Keeps HDD cool very silent

Cons: Could not use screws as connector holes are in the exact same spot as my HDD caddy holes. I used masking take to connect it to the top of the HDD so far so good.

4 out of 5 eggs?plastic?

Pros: They are cheap, they work ok. At this price who cares if they go bad in 1 year!!

Cons: If they had a metal bracket to act as a heat sink they would be better.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for. If you want better.. Pay more.

5 out of 5 eggsA must have for every HDD

Pros: The large fan runs quiet and provides adequate cooling for the HDD. The bearings last a long time, unlike other HDD coolers I have used in the past. The price is unbeatable.

Cons: Somewhat flimsy. The plastic needed some trimming to fit in the computer case. None of the above was a big problem for me.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes what it's suppose to.

Pros: Cheap-Only $7 for a decent HDD Cooler.
Stylish-Looks nice if your into that kind of thing.
Quiet-Really quiet, if your HDD has high RPM you won't even here this.
Comes with screws, I didn't expect that.

Cons: Made from Cheap Materials- Plastic started peeling as soon as I got it. I expected this though.
Tubing-The white plastic tubing around it started coming off right away, expected though, again.

Other Thoughts: Just got it today so I don't know how long it will last...
Seems if this fan comes apart it would destroy your HDD chip.
The white tubing has weird sticky stuff on it.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes work

Pros: Very Quiet
Easy install

Cons: May not work in all applications

Other Thoughts: Purchased to help circulate air near the front of the case. It seems to push an ample amount of air across the harddrive, and it is incredibly quiet.

The one downside is that it doesn't fit in my primary HDD cage. You attach it to the hard drive and try to slide it into the cage, but the mounting screws just won't allow it to fit. Wound up attaching it to my other HDD which sits in a secondary bracket that doesn't have anything that gets in the way.

Now, I'm not sure weather or not this fan is keeping my HDD any cooler or not because I don't have a HDD temp monitor. But I'm sure it helps a little bit, my main concern was a little help to keep the air moving near the front of the case where there are no other fans. I think this fits the bill nicely.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Quiet, keeps my drives ~8 degrees cooler

Cons: Plastic seems flimsy

Other Thoughts: Any impact which would crack or break the plastic on these would certainly cause catastrophic damage to the HDD it's attached to anyhow. Will definitely buy more for my other HDDs.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Exceptionally quiet fan, a lot quieter than the Vantec cooler it replaced.
Good air flow and fit.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Ordered [3] and all have been great so far.

2 out of 5 eggsWell you get what you pay for or LESS!!

Pros: 1 out of 3 worked well

Cons: Bought 3 to help with a couple of my raid drives that were not directly in front of the inward fans. 1 worked well the other would not even turn (the fan wires were actually blocking it on the inside). The third replaced the second that did not work, and upon tightening the holding screws a piece of plastic broke off. So do not make them too tight.

Other Thoughts: I wish they made one that pushes all the air on one side only
