4 out of 5 eggsCools well

Pros: * Cools well
* Cheap
* Clip Option for 1366

Cons: * Hard to install

Other Thoughts: I wanted something I could install and not remove the motherboard. This was pretty much my only option that I could find for socket 1366. Used this with a Intel Core i930. My processor was getting a little hot while idle with the stock cooler (50c). After installing this thing it dropped a good 10c. This cooler was a pain to install, the fan has some strange latch mechanism, so you have to take the fan off and install it after mounting the cooler and it wraps around the clips. You will notice it when you see it. I think I would of been better off just buying one where I remove the motherboard after the hour I spent trying to install it.

1 out of 5 eggsDoes NOT fit 1366

Pros: None

Cons: Does NOT fit a Xeon 1366 MB with screw on base plate

Other Thoughts: Somewhat my fault - I should have looked closer at the photos to see what they call a "1366 bracket"

5 out of 5 eggsHTC XT-964

Pros: Great little cooler Overclocked my AM3 Quad Core keeps it cool!!
If you are looking for a Cooler that mounts left/right this is the cooler there is only a few that does that. Most AMD coolers mount fan Up or Down This one does left or right

Cons: None works great

1 out of 5 eggshorrible heatsink

Pros: good temps of 26 c indle 36 c load

Cons: heat sink caused hot spots on chip checked with infrared temp gun and only able to over clock to 2.5 stable stock was 32 idle 43 load oc to 3.0 stable
not to mention this is a 2.3 quad core

Other Thoughts: dont waste your money go name brand

5 out of 5 eggsxt-964

Pros: I am using this on a am2 socket,installs very easily.
My temps on a 7850 kuma went down considerably.
on ecs gf8200a mobo,smart fan runs pretty good and you can have it pretty quiet if you want.

Cons: Maybe not a con per se,but wow,anyone with this on an am2 socket ever have to remove it? pressing down on the clips in reverse order of the installation feels like I am really leaning into it to get it to release from the notch of the retainer.

Other Thoughts: kuma7850 oc'd from stock 2.8 to 3.2ghz, works great

2 out of 5 eggsnot worth the trouble

Pros: Fits inside my mATX case where a larger heat sink wouldn't. 92mm fan is pretty quiet even at 2700 RPM. brought prime 95 numbers from 65c to about 60c.

Cons: Where to being. I guess you do get what you pay for. The contact area is filled with gaps and is uneven. It raised my idle temps by 5c and caused one core to run 4-5c hotter than the other. The stock cooler runs them at exactly the same. Tried to reseat 4 or 5 times. Considering what a nightmare it is to reseat this fan, thats more than enough. You have to remove the fan in order to install in a Intel socket. Getting the fan back on is hell without removing my ram, mobo 4pin, case fan, and CD power connectors.

Other Thoughts: They should make Al Queda detainees in Gitmo install these things. It's that bad. Cheap plastic clips. getting the fan back on without removing half your components is impossible. It's not worth it. Spend a few bucks more and get what you pay for.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome HSF

Pros: This is an awesome HSF!! I picked it up an a local store and paid more for it than Newegg is selling them for, bad move on my part but needed something quick. It fits nicely in a Lian Li PC-V351A. With cool & quiet enabled, it keeps my 3.2 gig AM3 Phenom at 10 degrees F above ambient. After 3 hours of Bioshock, exiting to windows, it cools back down before Bioshock can exit. If you need flashy lights, get a 92mm LED fan. I used Artic Silver, mounted snugly and works better than any other HSF I have used. Although you can hear the air moving through the heatsink when its all the way up, thats to be expected.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Wish they made something similar for north/south bridges.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat cooler for the price

Pros: awesome cooler for the price, I bought it because my cpu was reaching out of control temps under load (80+). took my AM2 athon fx-62 from 45 idle and 85 under load to 34 idle and no more than 55 under load.

Cons: cheap feeling clips, not exactly mirror finish on the cpu contact area.

Other Thoughts: for the price I would highly recommend this item. I expected my under load temps to be lower than 55 with this CPU, but 55 is not a dangerous temp so I really have nothing to complain about. Noise isnt that bad, I definatly cannot hear it over my case fans (but my case fans are somewhat loud)
