Excellent cooler!
- Pros: Dropped my overclocked Opteron 15 degrees instantly. Looks really awesome. Does what it's supposed to do and then some. Works with all major sockets. Looks really, really awesome!
- Cons: Installation was a pain on a 939 system. Instructions are lacking, but they do tell you enough. The thermal paste is thick and clumps together, making it really hard to get an even layer on the CPU. It does seem work fine though.
- Other Thoughts: I put my technical understanding of this type of product as somewhat high because the problems I had installing this could very well have been my fault. This was my first screw down heatsink install, so... Had to get a friend to screw it down while I held it down. It's cooling a Opteron 165 clocked at 2.7GHz at a nice 19c idle and 32c full load.
It's well... umm... FRICKEN MASSIVE
- Pros: It is a great heat sync and will keep pretty much any possessor it's compatible with cool. Have not had my possessor go over 40 C even when I keep it on 24/7. The lighted fan is a good look too if you have other lights in you system otherwise if it's the only light in your case it looks rather dumb... The fan speed adjuster is also a good feature. It lets you balance out cooling with noise and yes it can get loud for a 120mm fan, so if you are looking for a quiet system. This is probably not the heat sync you are looking for.
- Cons: The thing is fricken huge if you DO NOT have an ATX mid tower or larger DO NOT buy this. It will not fit in a mini or micro case so dont even bother. The fan itself is 120mm add the rods going to the possessor and the motherboard and it has about 2cm when I close the lid on my ATX mid tower. Also another word of caution if you have a side vent with a fan make good and sure its not near your possessor if you have a mid tower or it WILL NOT fit.
- Other Thoughts: The LEDs on the fan are not the brightest and due to the fins the only light comes out from the sides, so don't expect a lot of light coming from it. (I know the picture shows it being very bright, but its not)
This is the case I use the only differences are the inside and back are black paint instead of the bare metal.

The heat sync misses the side fan by about half an inch.

A great CPU cooler
- Pros: Great CPU cooler. Fairly easy to install
- Cons: Installation directions suck
- Other Thoughts: I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a hardcore CPU cooler. I have my Q9400 overclocked to 3.6Ghz (from 2.6Ghz) and it doesnt skip a beat. My temps are usually idle around 35C, and a bout 44C under load.
Oh yes, Baby!
- Pros: This bad boy makes water cooling a non-issue as it will handle any heat my QX9770 puts out, OCed or not.
- Cons: Hey, it's BIG. Make sure your case has room before you order it.
- Other Thoughts: I replaced the stock fan with a Delta PWM. If your not filmilar with Delta fans, they are the Baddest Boys on the market in terms of moving air. They also, depending on the model, of course, take a LOT of power to run and while most solid Mobos can handle 1 or 2, after that you'll need a SOLID fan controller unit to use more.
Completely Horrible
- Pros: Umm....
- Cons: Cools to effectively. Looks to cool. People want to look at it. Keeps my C2Q 6700 at 37*. Cannot here it over my windtunnel fan in the front of the case.
Seriously: 1. Not PWM controled.
- Other Thoughts: If you are getting a exotic cooler you should have already spent a good bit of bonding time with your computer. It clears my side fan in a Thermaltake Soprano with ~1mm to spare.
