Pros: does what it should and it looks good in the corsair 800D

Cons: doesn't tighten down full, can slip if not careful.

Other Thoughts: I'm happy. -1 star for it not being secure.

Does the job

Tech Level: high - Ownership: more than 1 year

Pros: Looks nice. It does what it is intended to do, which is keeping your high speed memory modules a bit cooler.

Cons: If you aren't overclocking your memory then this is a bit pointless. Proper case airflow and quality ramsinks will keep your DIMMs sufficiently cool. I have the GT version of this that came with my 2k kit (same fan, different stickers). It flaked out on me within a couple months, with one of the fans making a very loud and high pitched whining sound whenever it was running. Tried to set up an RMA and got no support from Corsair at all, which is odd because they are usually pretty good about product support. I run my memory without the fan now and it overclocks just the same, temp probes show nominal temperatures comparable to what they were with the fan running.

Gets the job done

Pros: Great airflow over! I am running 8 gigs of Corsair XMS. Those sticks used to get so hot they would burn to the touch. Now they are cool (sorry no temp gauges). Even my CPU is cooler. I love the solid metal build.

Cons: The price to build quality ratio is not great. Some rubber on the clamps would be nice to keep things in place. Also the wire exit point from the fan casing doesn't seem to be well thought out as the mounting bracket seems to be competing for space.

Other Thoughts: The fans are just a little louder than my case fans. Not really a big deal and I am sure when I get a fan controller I can cut the noise down a little.
