5 out of 5 eggsGood alt to a 120mm or a 92mm

Pros: Its quiet, good cfm & performance overall.

Cons: Its a little loud at max, but really not that bad or unmanageable.
You have to buy a few to get reduced bulk pricing and shipping-not really a con but I couldn't think of anything else at the moment.

Other Thoughts: I use this as a hard drive cooler and also as a side flow fan. It'll squeeze into a spot where you can't quite fit a 120.

Improvement over most 80mm mount situations if you have the space. Delivers good CFM over most 92mm of similar thickness.

5 out of 5 eggsMounting hardware

Pros: Cheap, quiet

Cons: Comes with minimal mounting hardware -- no rubber washers, and just 4 short screws, which didn't work in my Antec case. Fortunately the case came with long screws.

Off to the hardware store to find some rubber grommets.

Other Thoughts: Hope it lasts a while!

5 out of 5 eggsQuieter than Thermaltake A2017

Pros: I purchased the SY1025SL12M and the Thermaltake A2017, and compared the two. Outside the box, the Scythe is slightly quieter (at the same airflow -- the Thermaltake is adjustable)

But when mounted in the case, the Thermaltake is much noisier. It has sort of a faint chainsaw-like buzz, which I find annoying. The Scythe is more of a white-noise sound, like a faint leaf blower.

Cons: Has sleeve bearings, so may only last 1-2 years. I think it's rated at 20,000 hours (~2 years) MTBF. Do they make a double-ball-bearing model, and is it as quiet?

Other Thoughts: Looks like 2 should fit in the front of my Antec NSK-6580 case, which takes two 92mm fans.

Airflow sound becomes much louder in case due to PC case grille, which is almost touching the fan. If there was room, I would use 1/2" spacer, but there is no room. So I may cut out the case grille.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet

Pros: Quiet, fair amout of CFM.

Cons: Doesn't push a whole lot of air, but that is the trade off for near silence.

Other Thoughts: This fan truly is as quiet as it says. My cpu fan is now the loudest in my system when my gpu fan is set to 40% rpm.

5 out of 5 eggsWOW Great fan.

Pros: This is an awesome product. I bought this to replace the piece of junk 92mm fan running at 700-800 RPM in my sisters HP Media Center PC M7067C. Her hard drive fried b/c that was the only fan apart from the power supply in the case. I replaced the junky ribbon cable with short AC Ryan FX cables to improve airflow. Then I used the molex adapter to run this at full speed. It is pretty quiet and moves a decent amount of air. I probably could have even gotten the faster fan but this one is great. The 100 mm fan blades improve airflow and cut down on noise. MONEY WELL SPENT!

Cons: NONE

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for dell optiplex or poweredge fan replacement.

Pros: Product is as specified as far as CPM. I have an airflow meter and its over the cpm. It spins solid 1600RPM. And is nearly silent. Any reviews that state that its loud have it pointed at a tightly packed heat sink. This fan is meant to exhaust air OUT.

Cons: I purchased the entire newegg stock which was ten units. So you got to wait to buy one.

Other Thoughts: Fan housing is slightly bigger than 100mm which works perfect for my application however might not work perfect for yours.

4 out of 5 eggsNot quite what I expected

Pros: Great looking fans with decent airflow for the volume level. Two different fan mounting sizes can possibly come in handy.

Cons: I don't have a db meter around, but I can't believe these fans are only 22db.

Other Thoughts: Good fan although it seems a little loud for a fan that should have worked in a quiet pc.

5 out of 5 eggsGood airflow

Pros: This a good fan because if used with a fan controller, it becomes very quiet, but still can deliver a good airflow. At max speed it gives very good airflow.

Cons: -Could be a little bit cheaper for no led and such.

-Gets louder at max speed, but would no problem with a fan controller.

4 out of 5 eggsQuiet

Pros: Nearly silent!! Fits in 90mm fan holes. Noise output on my pc dropped significantly.

Cons: I was a bit disappointed by the airflow. Unbraided/unsleeved wires look ugly.

Other Thoughts: I think i'll step up to the higher output 100mm fan. My video card temps went up 2 degrees with this fan. The case it went in to has a tab to hold the fan, so i had to bend it out of the way. Not the fan's fault. Also, the holes on my case are made for 92mm. The box says 90mm for the fan holes, so some of the screws are angled slightly after my install. Wierd.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fit well into our Nortel phone system. Not an exact replacement but the original fan was a weird size.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: fan moves a large volume of air quietly; higher CFM rating than the fan it replaced
