works and looks good
- Pros: seems to work ok, feels cool to the touch.
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: as i have read from the other reviews a few people complain about the fit being a little loose, well i guess they have not dealt with a cooler that was glued on, thats when you wish it was a little loose. it makes it easy to (even them up) after install,so far they work on muskin 800MHz running @1072MHz
Works, but.....
- Pros: The copper heatsinks are nicely make. Have good weight, and effectively cool. After a couple of hours gaming, the ram sinks feel very warm. This is good to a point, since the sinks are warm, and the ram isn't. Since installing these, I get no more Blue screens from heat.
- Cons: I have them installed correctly, and yet the ramsinks can still slide off of the sticks if moved while warm. This weekend I redid my raid config and had to reinstall Vista. When doing so, you have to install with just 2g, so I had to remove the other 2g. While doing so,I noticed that the sinks were sliding off of the stick.....not good. They were warm from installing my XP partition and drivers, so they slide rather easy. And yes, the clips are installed correctly as well.
- Other Thoughts: I still gave them a 4 rating because they effectively cool the ram. I am running 2.26v to my 4g of Ballistix ram and am running DDR-2 1002 @ 4-4-4-12. I don't remove and reseat the ram much, so I don't expect to have problems with the sinks folling off. They are in place enough to cool the ram and stay stable. I do wish they were on a little more snug. Overall, a descent product, but I woul like to try the Thermaltake's as they are said to cool better than ther Thermalright's I have tried. The Thermalright HR-07's do cool better than these, but are slightly more expesive as well.
not bad
- Pros: Hey it looks cool. It helps alot with the heat prob i had. put all that heat right into my fan to spit out out. so I'm happy
- Cons: it is a little tight with 4 slots but i think it's still working
