3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This is a 140mm case fan

Cons: Taking off two eggs because the fan does not fit 140mm case holes, but instead is made for a 120mm screw holes on computer cases.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet as a Mouse

Pros: Very Quiet. Me Likes.

Cons: Price.

Other Thoughts: At this price, they should include vibration / noise isolating rubber gasket.

3 out of 5 eggsPretty good

Pros: These fans are not silent (there are no silent fans) but they are very quiet. I can hear them in a quiet room but not when there's audio and the sound is more of the whoosh of air than the rattle of the fans.

Cons: These fans don't move a lot of air, but that's to be expected. There's always a tradeoff between quiet and powerful, and these are quiet.

The 4-pin to molex connectors that come with them are junk.

The fans themselves are black but they come with silver screws. I know it's a little thing, but it's also a pretty little thing for Scythe to just give us black screws. I have two of these on the side panel of my case (which is also black) and the silver looks terrible.

Other Thoughts: These fans are 800RPM fans which is pretty low and as such they don't cooperate well with fan controllers that that lower the amperage. My controller switches between 12A, 5A, and off, and when these fans only get five amps they cut in and out and one of my fans died on 5A. It's not a problem because they're quiet enough to run at full speed all the time and low RPM fans aren't usually designed to run at lower speeds anyway.

Bottom line, if you've got a fan controller, get a faster fan that you can turn down to a quiet speed. But if you are looking for a quiet fan that will run full blast at all times then this is a good one.

5 out of 5 eggsFAN-tastic... I know. I'm ashamed.

Pros: These fans are great. Seriously, If you have a solid case, these things are inaudible. Plus they are big so they move air and get the job done.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Very very happy with these. If you are working towards a silent build these are a great choice.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Quiet

Pros: Very quiet
0.10a - so no motor noise
just very slight cfm noise (wind noise)

Cons: the M model is very noisy

Other Thoughts: I am a silence enthusiast/freak

3 out of 5 eggsMounting hole issue

Pros: 140mm fan, works I guess.

Cons: Never got to mount the fans. Beware - these have 120mm mounting holes, so if you want to replace a 140mm fan your kinda out of luck!

4 out of 5 eggscame broken

Pros: pretty good reviews from others. Newegg CS rocks.

Cons: came in with 1 fin broken. no signs of shipping dmg. most likely was broken before shipment.

Other Thoughts: called the CS and instead of doing an RMA they credited my account so i can get another one right away. I decided to go with a different fan this time. I asked if they wanted me to send back the fan they told me to just throw it away.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Could not be quieter. The 120mm mounting holes work perfectly to replace 120mm case or CPU fans, provided you have enough clearance around the fan.

Cons: There is always the tradeoff between noise and air flow, however if you want a silent fan, I believe this one gives about the best air flow you can get.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet, Decent CFM, Excellent Build Quality

Pros: +VERY Quiet
+Decent CFM/DBa produced Ratio
+Fits easily
+No flashy LEDs

Cons: -Does not run well with a fan controller/hooked up to the mobo

Other Thoughts: The reviewer who gave this 1 egg obviously didn't know what to do with this case fan. It should not be hooked up to any fan controller or the motherboard, it should just be hooked up to a PSU's molex connector and let it run 100%. Even at 100% it is still very, very quiet.
