5 out of 5 eggsjust go for it

Pros: Quiet. Temps went from nearly 70c down to 42c idle. Hardly ever hits 50c undel full load.

Cons: I guess if I had to put a con it would have to be price. But when you are cooling a card that cost $600 + when new I guess this really isn't a con.

Other Thoughts: I hesitated for about a month on this purchase. I wish I just bought it.

5 out of 5 eggsGet This Now!

Pros: Easy to install on Foxconn 8800GTX OC. I have had overheating problems with this card for over a year (temps getting into the 90s). I was contemplating replacing the card when I came across this cooler on a review site. Checked out multiple reviews & all sounded good so I ordered it. Man what a difference! Card never gets above 60s now with fan set at 60%. Very few products I've ever purchased have performed this well. It's not cheap, but if you value your card & sanity & plan to keep your vid card for a while, you won't regret buying this.

I repeat, GET...THIS...NOW!

5 out of 5 eggsUnbelievable Difference

Pros: Quiet, effective, easily installed.

Cons: Hogs up three slots (instead of two for stock cooler), doesn't exhaust warm air from the case - bumped my CPU temp up slightly.

Other Thoughts: My old 8800 GTX would idle at 60C and hit 80C during heaving gaming. Now it idles at 40C and never tops 56C while gaming even in a warm room in July (using stock fan settings). Amazing.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Great Product. Installation Instruction were easy to understand. Installation went Very smooth. Having the instructions tell you to use a pencil eraser to remove old Heat sink film, and explaining things well enough so you were not left wondering if you did this correctly was outstanding.

Performance. I was running benchmark programs, Stress Test programs. Futuremark, etc. and with the overclocking I was doing I was getting it to goto over 70 degrees Celcius and it would cause problems. Certain games ran my Stock Evga 8800 GTX card extremely Hot. Everquest 2, Oblivion, etc. I would sometimes have my machine lock the video up it ran so hot which is why I bought this cooler in the first place.

I was not expecti8ng miracle. But I got them. Stock Temps are now in the 40's MAX temps never go over 73 with the core clocked all the way to 636 from 576 stock. I never go over 60 degrees UNLESS I am benchmarking and even then it only goes to 64 max.

Impressive for air cooling.

Cons: the extra slot cover it comes with to add extra cooling was enough to let dust into your computer. I would have appreciated it more if it had been a slot with a cleanable filter.

Basically you get an extra PCI card slot cover with cutouts for extra air intake, but the slots are larege enough to let dust in.

You can modify this easily enough but I had to work hard to even come up with a con. this cooler is great. Better than Zalman for the 8800 GTX and Ultra because there is no extra item needed to use it. what you need is included. why pay for the extra cooler when this will do what the Zalman does for less cost. and actualy I am getting 4 degrees less temps at full load and 6 degree sless at idol. (Clecius reading of course) YES 6 degrees celcius less than the zalman at idol.

Other Thoughts: if you got the 8800 GTX or Ulta. Get this. you will be VERY Happy. Install time was less than 30 minutes. Easy to understand and perform. You get a full new set of screws, etc so you could actualy resell or reuse the stock cooler on some other card with all tyhe parts from it. this has a full new set of everything. nothing needed off the old cooler. Screws, or anything. this has it all.

5 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: It has 3 fans which gives good cooling
cools my 640 mb 8800 gts at 46 IDLE used to be 57 idle
and when playing games its about 52-53 which is relly good since my comp used to shutdown because gpu was too hot

Cons: - No thermal paste included if you plan on buying this cooler make sure you buy one fron newegg or your local store

5 out of 5 eggsAlmost Perfect

Pros: The only thing that would make this perfect would be if it made my temps 20 celsius.

Cons: Kinda confusing instructions, the 8800GTS i have lacks 2 of the chips that the instructions say to apply a thermal pad to. I was like hmm...but assumed it wasn't a big deal, so far it isn't. Also the adhesive on the bottom of the voltage regulator heatsinks are horrible. I hope they don't fall off because they don't stay very well....and they're open, not pushed down by the cooler like the rest of the stuff.

Other Thoughts: Temps speak for themselves, installation took about an hour and this was my first time to install a VGA cooler. I have an Evga 8800gts with 320mb and my temps prior to the cooler were idle around 60-63 celsius and heavy load 65-70 celsius.

Now I am getting temps idle around 45-49 celsius and heavy load 53-56. Very impressed with the change.

PS, make sure you have the space, this thing is gigantic, I have maybe 1 cm between my hard drive compartments and the actual cooler. Very tight fit.

5 out of 5 eggsCool like Dat..

Pros: Like most have already said.. why did I wait this long.. Believe what you read, this really does lower the temps tremendously. Mine went down about 15°, but I was idol in the low 60's.. Still.. It is well worth every penny. I cant seem to get it over 55°c with AA all the way up in COD 4 and a 34" monitor..

Cons: Most are complaining about the adhesive on the thermal pads. I cleaned with alcohol and rubbed with an eraser and they stuck pretty good.. The ones to be concerned about are voltage regulator heat sinks, because with my 8800 GTS the thermal pads on the memory and the NVIO chip are sandwiched in between, the heat sinks are open air.

Other Thoughts: I have been a die hard EVGA fan for years now, and after I took off the H/S and fan to this 8800.. My jaw dropped to the floor. There was enough thermal paste for 4 computers. It was gobbed a 1/4" think around the chip. No wonder this ran so hot to begin with. Someone must have had a brain fart that day.. 1 mm people....

5 out of 5 eggsWorth Every penny

Pros: These things are awesome!!! I run a 2 card SLI 8800 gtx's, I play LOTRO settings at medium because cards got too hot and would get crashes otherwise. cards would top out at around 73 C with the settings at medium and would idle around 65 C. I installed these and cranked the settings to ultra high, and after an hour both cards were reading at 63 C. 10 C Cooler with higher settings. Best of all no crashes so far. 10 C cooler at idle as well. Installation was pretty easy, took about 30 minutes to do both cards. I did have to re-seat one of the cards cause i was getting worse temps on the top card than i was before so i knew something was wrong pulled it out and pulled it apart and noticed only half the heat sink was covered with thermal grease, i used the provided screws when i put it back together, seemed to get it tighter with those, and the problem was solved.

Cons: The heat sinks for the voltage regulators are kinda scary, don't seem like they stick too well even though i cleaned the chips very carefully before i applied them. I hope they don't fall off, as they could cause major problems if they do while the rig is powered up. Another Con in my opinion is the fact i even had to buy these after i spent 350 bucks a piece on these cards to begin with when i purchased them about a year and a half ago. Nvidia and Evga should take notice of these bad boys and put them on all their cards,

Other Thoughts: If have some 8800's and are thinking of upgrading, these things will bring new life into your cards. I will probably get another 1-2 years out of these cards now and will get better performance out of them as well.

5 out of 5 eggsCut operating Temps in HALF!

Pros: Easy to install, took 20 minutes to disassemble my old heat sink/fan combo and install this new one. My operating temps before were 86 C while gaming and 75 C at idle. Now they're 40 C to 50 C respectively. Fans no louder than original. I can't wait to overclock and see how far I get!

Cons: A little too big. My SATA cable ports on my motherboard were preventing me from getting the card in. I swapped the cable ends so the right-angled end connected to the motherboard. The card went in just fine after that.

Other Thoughts: The radiator is almost as big as the one on my motorcycle!

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice!

Pros: Cooling ability is superb with this unit. It does what it claims to do (drop temps 20°C). I was running pretty high around 70+°C Idle, and closer to 90°C full gaming. This brought me down to 45-46°C and 54°C gaming. DRAMATIC results, no louder than the stock fan, and install is a breeze (took 15 minutes)

Cons: None, does everything it needs to do and is appropriately priced.

Other Thoughts: Now if only video card makers could pair-up with the designers of these cooling systems, I think we'd all be happier.
