1 out of 5 eggsCOMPLETE JUNK

Pros: The cheap plastic bracket failed, cracked at the region where the CPU cooler is tied down to the cheap push pin frame at the point of the nut, CPU cooler base plate of course came off the CPU, immediate overheating…
I have three others of these and will replace prophylactically to avoid disaster etc.

UNBELIVABLE…

Cons: They should make it from any dozen of available space age plastics, NO EXCUSE, wait till others start failing after one-two years…

4 out of 5 eggsGood, but has some flaws

Pros: The cooler was easy to install and does a great job cooling my FX processor. With AMD boards you don't even have to remove the motherboard, which makes for a quick install. Dropped CPU temps by 8c-10c.

Cons: It is a huge cooler. With the AMD boards it is rotated 90 degrees and pushes air into the bottom of the case? The fins also hang over a few of the ram slots. Bend the bottom fin and make a small slot in the fan housing and your good to go.

4 out of 5 eggsQuiet but fun to install

Pros: It is very quiet, and it keeps the cpu cool

Cons: I have an AMD processor. The install process was a headache.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you have plenty of room to install it. Also, the thermal compound on the cooler seemed quit dried out. I use a good thermal grease instead.

5 out of 5 eggsHuge, but it did a grreat job

Pros: Extremely silent, even at full load.
I did not try to overclock yet, the temp is acceptable at 4.2Ghz.

Cons: Huge, i could not seal the case, coz it is too tall.
Somewhat heavy.

Other Thoughts: Great cooler for the money. Keeps my Ivy Bridge 3570k running at 4.2Ghz at 57C full loadwith room for more overclocking later using the supplied thermal paste. It's also silent for the most part except when stress testing and then it isn't that loud. The instructions could be better and The ARCTIC Freezer series is highly regarded all over as one the best budget coolers. There are better ones out there supposedly but at twice the price or more.

5 out of 5 eggspretty dang good

Pros: Great cooler, dont think i could make my cpu hot if i tried, Good metal cpu latches for amd (though i cant say the same for intel)

Cons: intel users have a plastic bracket. i use amd so i could care less but just a fore warning

Other Thoughts: i have had this cooler for over a year. i ended up swapping it out and putting watercooling in my computer about 6 months ago, but ended up selling that pc too. this cooler will be cooling my zambezi 8 core in a few days

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cooler! Large!

Pros: -Great Cooling Power for my i7 965
-Keeps nearby components cooler.
-Quiet
-Does not block any RAM slots on my Asus P6T Deluxe ATX Motherboard.

Keeps my i7 965 stock at 60C at 100% load.

Cons: HUGE! I had to remove the side-panel fan from my Antec 1200 case to get it to fit.

Other Thoughts: Like most towers, my motherboard is mounted vertically. This cooler is very heavy, and since I move my desktop from school to home a few times a year, I didn't feel comfortable with the plastic push-pin mounting system.
I used an insulated x-brace with metal screw pins from Koolance to mount this monster with no fear of it breaking off.

3 out of 5 eggsNot for gaming

Pros: Cheap
Better than stock HSF
Fairly simple to install, watch a YouTube video regardless.

Cons: Very large (had to remove a side fan just to fit inside the case)
Instructions are somewhat lacking, poor packaging
Overclocking is out of the question.

Other Thoughts: This is a decent heatsink for the price. It's better than the stock Intel Heatsinks, but not by much. I currently run a i5 2500k on stock settings with turbo enabled, coolermaster storm scout case, good cable management, and extra case fans, here are my average temps:

Idle: 32-38C

Load: 65-72C

Pretty poor considering this thing is supposed to be a "high performance cooler". I've tried multiple thermal paste applications (Arctic Silver 5), none of which made a single bit of difference in the temps. Case is clean, cables out of the way, plenty of fans, and it still melts.

You get what you pay for.

4 out of 5 eggsENORMOUS

Pros: Huge heatsink, large easily removable fan, is much quieter than my stock Phenom II HSF.

Cons: It's large enough that if I wanted to install new ram modules, I'd have to remove it, as it covers 2 slots. I'd recommend having a friend help you hold the plates in place while you screw it down.

Other Thoughts: If my ram were any taller, I'd have had some serious issues. G.Skill Sniper series heat spreaders literally touch the bottom of the heatsink. The fan initially wouldn't install at the recommended position, but I repositioned it up a few fins and it works fine.

Make sure you have clearance for this in your case. It's hard to get a good perspective on the size from the pictures. Barely had clearance of a few cm in my Antec DF-85.
