The Accelero Mono PLUS is equipped with a universal mounting mechanism, offering full support to a broad range of graphic cards. A 120 mm PWM fan and five heatpipes provide an ultimate cooling performance and a virtually silent environment at all times.

  • newegg Superior Cooling Performance The Accelero Mono PLUS operates at a maximum cooling capacity of 200 Watts. It is equipped with a 120 mm PWM fan and five heatpipes that dissipate a large amount of heat instantly. It ensures that the VGA graphic card can run under optimal temperature for an extended service life.
  • newegg Enhanced RAM and VR Cooling To achieve ultimate cooling efficiency, the Accelero Mono PLUS comes with an electrically non-conductive thermal glue G-1 to apply on the RAM and the VR heatsink. Compared to traditional thermal tapes and pads, the G-1 provides a far better thermal conductivity and can be removed without leaving any residues behind.
  • newegg Virtually Silent Operated by a low noise impeller enclosed in a patented fan holder to reduce the buzzing sound when the fan is spinning, the Accelero Mono PLUS is barely audible even running at full load. To enable minimum noise level at all circumstances, the PWM controller enables the fan to run at the optimal speed according to the load generated by the GPU.
  • newegg Multi-Compatible* The Accelero Mono PLUS comes with a versatile mounting mechanism and extensive RAM and VR cooling to better suit different graphic cards. It is compatible with the latest Radeon HD 7870, 7850 and 7770 graphics card. (*The compatibility list is based on AMD Radeon and NVIDIA's reference board layout only.)

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent, quiet

Pros: - Extremely quiet
- Very good cooling

Cons: (None)

Other Thoughts: I have a Radeon HD 6870 and its stock fan seemed to be getting louder and louder over time. With the Accelero Mono Plus I hear nothing. Still freaks me out a bit at startup because I think the computer isn't booting right, but its just the lack of GPU fan noise.

Other points:
- Read the installation instructions carefully, especially if you've never replaced a GPU heatsink before (I hadn't).
- Look for instruction videos or articles online. I found a few dedicated to the Accelero Mono Plus that helped a lot.
- I did not install the memory cooling fins that come with the fan. My card already had fins and metal plating on those parts that fit with the Mono Plus. If you do install them, really watch out for thermal paste/glue leaking onto any surrounding circuitry. A few people have commented that installing this fan killed their card, and I suspect this is the most likely problem step. The instructions tell you to tape over surrounding circuitry to shield it--definitely do this.
- I cleaned the existing thermal glue off the GPU using isopropyl alcohol (70%) and a paper towel, while the instructions seem to want you to use an eraser. I guess either would work?
- Max GPU temperature playing Metro: Last Light Redux never got above 38C, though I haven't stress tested it further.
- This fan is BIG. Others have said this, I'll add to the chorus. Make sure your case is big enough to accommodate.
- I actually had the most trouble getting the stock fan's power connector out of the socket on the VGA board. The stock fan's connector had some nubs on it that locked it into place in the socket. Ended up getting a pair of very fine/thin scissors I have and gently inserting one blade and twisting slightly to pop the nub out.

I've only had this installed for 2 days now, so if anything changes I'll come back and update.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic cooler

Pros: I put this on my GTX 470 despite it not being offically supported and I have to say that this cooler is outstanding. Before I was hitting the upper 60's under load and listening to the jet like roar of the stock reference cooler and now it's over 20 degrees lower and the fan is running below the threshold of hearing compared to the pump and other fans currently in my system. If you're on the fence about getting one of these, do it. You will not regret it.

Cons: The instructions are wanting but if you're good with your hands and patient the installation isn't all that bad. Not a ding against the cooler but a caveat for the novices among us to consider.

5 out of 5 eggsThis is a great aftermarket GPU cooler

Pros: This is a great aftermarket GPU cooler. I put this on a radeon hd 6770.
Overclocked to 950mhz, this card on load only hits 50 degrees Celsius. The 120mm fan runs very quiet and pushes a lot of air onto the heat sink.

Cons: The only con I would have is the extra weight the cooler gives the GPU.

Other Thoughts: This is a great cooler for the money.

4 out of 5 eggsa little big

Pros: Very quite, does what it's supposed to.

Cons: Quite big, be careful when buying this to make sure your motherboard has the room to handle it.

5 out of 5 eggsWrong cooler, yet still did the job

Pros: So I bought this for my Radeon R9 290, which turns out if I would have read the fine print, this cooler doesn't put out enough cooling power for this card.

But heck if it didn't. My GPU temps went down by about 20c and the VRM temps stayed around 70c on full load. This is without overclocking and with very high case airflow.

So I have a new cooler now, but I was very impressed that this cooler was able to keep up with this card.

Cons: If you catch your finger on it at 80% fan speed, it will draw blood.

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure about other reviewers comments on the thermal paste - the paste that comes with this fan is excellent as long as the chip is cleaned before applying.

5 out of 5 eggsAccelero Mono Plus VGA Cooler

Pros: I bought this to replace the stock cooler on my EVGA 560 GTX (1466 model). It is very quiet, you can barely hear it when the fan is set to 100%.

My idle temperatures used to be about 120 Fahrenheit and my gaming temperatures were upwards to 200 Fahrenheit. With this cooler my idle temperature is now about 85 Fahrenheit and my gaming temperatures are about 150 Fahrenheit.

Cons: It is very large and may not fit in some cases. You might also be hard pressed to use this cooler in a SLI setup.

The instructions are not very well written.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I would say this is an excellent cooler and would make this purchase again.

5 out of 5 eggsArctic Accelero Mono Plus VGA Cooler

Pros: I purchased this as a replacement for the stock cooler on an EVGA 560 GTX (1466 model).

The fan is very quiet and even when it is set to 100% you can barely hear it. The cooler does an excellent job of dissipating heat.

The card temperature during regular use never exceeds 90 Fahrenheit or 160 Fahrenheit during gaming. By comparison, the stock cooler was at about 130 Fahrenheit during regular use and close to 190 Fahrenheit during gaming.

The four pin fan connector plugged directly into the video card, so there was no need to use the provided adapter.

I have not installed the memory heatsinks, so my numbers still have room for improvement.

Cons: The cooler is very large. You would need to remove the fan cover if you want to use in a SLI setup. It appears that the cover can be easily removed, so just watch your fingers if you plan on using two of these for a SLI setup.

The instructions are not very well written.

5 out of 5 eggsCool as a cucumber...

Pros: This thing works great! Sure the VRM heatsinks are a joke, but the heatsink itself works like a charm. Took a EVGA 650ti SSC from about 55c under a full load, to it never breaking 34c. Needless to say im a happy camper! Also immensely quieter than the stock cooling setup!

Cons: A little bulky... make sure you've got the real-estate fellas.

Other Thoughts: Instructions are a joke, but its a pretty forward installation.

4 out of 5 eggsExpensive, but it's solid

Pros: -Quiet, seriously you turn this thing up to 100% and it emits the same decibels then it does at 25%.

-Heat pipes

-Before I bought this I was afraid it was going to be too big, but it is smaller then I thought it would be. I have to admit however it does fit a tad awkwardly on my card but it's not a problem. I have a GTX 650 ti

Cons: I didn't have to use them for my card, but for cards that require the brackets it seems like it'd be a pain to get it to work

It only comes with four of everything. I hate it when manufacturers only send you just enough hardware. This is why I'm taking off an egg.

Other Thoughts: it doesn't say on newegg but it is 52mm thick

People complain about the instructions and ya they are vague but honestly it's all pretty straight forward
