5 out of 5 eggsDecent price, decent cooler

Pros: I purchased this cooler as a back up for a HTPC with unconventional case dimensions, and I was unsure what size cooler would actually fit due to the lack of pictures, reviews, and descriptions on the case I was using. I ended up keeping it as I was satisfied with the close to OEM spec and temperatures. I gave 5 stars, as it was everything I expected.

Cons: None.

3 out of 5 eggsSocket 775: Get the Intel Stock Instead

Pros: Cheap price; can handle hot CPU's

Cons: What a pain this thing was to install (for me, a Socket 775). Since it's made to fit a few sockets, it won't fit any one well. It requires two mounting rails, and each rail requires 2 sets of insertion pin+holding pins. Then, once that's in place, you can screw the heat sink onto this assembly. The heat sink never would fit snugly onto the mounting hardware, even after bending, pushing, pulling, and screw-driving.

This thing's not as quiet as the reviewers say. It makes a medium-to-high pitched whine. After replacing it with a new Intel stock fan, the Intel fan was a bit quieter.

Other Thoughts: For Socket 775 replacement, unless you need a lot of cooling, get an Intel fan. Costs about the same, and the Intel is so much easier to mount, and takes up way less room.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet one

Pros: Quiet. It is perhaps oversized for my i5 but I thought that the biger diameter fan has, the slower it has to rotate. It is much more quit than my PSU, which is not loud at all. With case closed I do not think I can hear the fan at all.

Inexpensive.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Looked OK

Cons: Didn't spin up until I flick the fan blades, can't depend on that.

Other Thoughts: seems to be hit and miss with this product, pay attention, my cpu was at 200 degrees be fore I was able to shut down.

1 out of 5 eggsArctic Alpine 11 plus

Pros: Nice quiet fan, looks good

Cons: Does not contact CPU on MSI G31 motherboard.

Other Thoughts: Very difficult to determine if CPU contact is made with board in the case. Seemed OK until I started the system and temps shot up to 200c almost immediately.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cheap-o fan

Pros: Keeps my CPU below 50C
Quiet
Cheap

Cons: Comes with thermal paste already applied ... I had to take time to clean it off, and almost ruined my motherboard! I placed it on the CPU mount to see if it was going to fit - thankfully I had the cover down!! I set it on the table and noticed the paste mark after I picked it back up.

Not worth knocking an egg off, just annoying.

Other Thoughts: I bought this thinking it would hold me over until I bought a more expensive CPU fan. But this actually does the job. I don't plan on buying another fan. Keeps my i7 below 50C while gaming.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well for me

Pros: - Much easier installation than I had expected due to some of the more negative reviews.

- No memory overhang

Cons: -None

Other Thoughts: -The lowest settings with my PWM CPU connector ran in the 1600RPM range and was too loud for my HTPC. I moved it to the 3-pin CPU2 connector and cranked it back to around 1100RPM. This made it nice and quiet and keeps my lower wattage G1620 about as cool as at the higher speeds the PWM provided.

-Pay attention to the fin alignment in relation to the 1155 latch as show in the installation guide. One review site I visited had done it wrong.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome bang for the buck!

Pros: You're not going to beat this HSF for the price. If you aren't going to overclock and simply want a fan better than the stock, you should consider this fan.

Cons: A little hard to install. It also may not fit all motherboards. It fit my Mini-ITX H77N-wifi just fine. Also, be sure to look at the directions as far as how to install the mounts. It is possible to easily install them incorrectly. If you do, the heatsink won't even touch the processor!!!

Other Thoughts: If you follow the installation instructions, installation is easy. You don't have to remove the fan to install. Cooler and quieter than stock on my i7 3770. I prefer the installation of this fan over Intel's crazy stock method.
