5 out of 5 eggsNice cooler

Pros: Cooler works well, better than expected.

Idle temps dropped a full 5-7C. Under load I went from 65-68c to under 60c even after long gaming sessions on an over clocked i5 3570k.

Quiet and looks nice, very pleased with purchase. I have used ARTIC products in the past, all have been of good quality.

Cons: none

1 out of 5 eggsNo Go for LGA775 Board

Pros: It looks nice.

Cons: I purchased this fan for a Foxconn G33M02 motherboard with an LGA775 socket. The motherboard had screw holes which were way too small for these little plastic thingies that are fundamental to getting the fan working. For a few pennies more they could have added some screws that could make this work on all the boards they claim it works with.

Other Thoughts: Since I cannot connect it to my board, I cannot use it. And that makes it worth no more than if they had just sent me a rock. It was $10 so it isn't worth sending it back. Now I have to find something else and go even longer without my computer.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Bought for an old i5 2500 build. With stock cooler, it was getting over 80C on max load. Went online to find the cheapest viable alternative, found this product.

Came with everything needed for installation, and the installation itself went very smoothly.

Stock fan idle was around 43C to over 80C on load, now sitting around 37C on idle and 61C on max load. Definitive improvement.

Cons: Only ran into a very minor issue with a RAM slot being a bit too close to the CPU, ended up sanding down the extra plastic on the fan base. Fit fine afterwards.

4 out of 5 eggsGood but..

Pros: Quiet, fits good, and good price.

Cons: Doesn't come with fan/sink screws to bolt fan to supplied plastic base.I had to custom find my own which made my CPU overheat and shut down after 30 seconds. I ended taking those off and setting the case flat because I didn't have screws to mount fan properly. I take 1 egg off because they could have supplied a cheap plastic set of screws and this would have been perfect.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's better than a stock cooler, and quiet.

Pros: * Quiet even under load
* Cheap
* Better than the stock cooler

Cons: * Doesn't lower temps from stock, but will keep them in an okay range under normal or slightly OC'd load.
* I'm used to some film over the thermal paste, or applying paste myself - but once out of the plastic, paste is right on the bottom of the cooler.

Other Thoughts: I bought this as I dislike Intel stock coolers - they are noisy, mostly cheap plastic, and the push-pins are a pain to get into the mother board. You feel like you're going to crack the mother board with that junk.

This cooler has a good weight to it, mostly metal, the fan is nice and quiet. Had to check that it was working a few times, because I couldn't hear the darn thing.

It will keep the CPU cooler than stock, but don't look to do more than a minor overclock with this cooler. Go for something a bit more expensive if that's in your immediate plan.

I plan on upgrading to a liquid cooler later, so I got this for the price of a Starbucks froo-froo coffee. The installation pins were easy to get in, and had screws to attach the frame to the main board. Took perhaps 2 minutes to install.

When removing it from the plastic shell, be careful - the paste is already applied and has no cover film, so I smudged it and had to re-apply aftermarket thermal paste.

I'm using this with an Intel 4690K and MSI Krait Edition LGA 1150 Motherboard. Unless you're installing it into a shoebox, this cooler will fit with no clipping on the RAM slots or anything else - it is slightly bigger square than stock, and perhaps an inch or so higher.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product

Pros: Very easy install. Bought to replace the stock cooler for an i5-4570. The most taxing thing I do is video encoding and temps would range anywhere from 55-60 degrees C. While not alarming, I thought why not spend $10 and get a little more life out of the CPU. After an easy install on a uATX board (no mount on rear of MOBO needed) I got right to work on some more encoding. Temps now don't top 50 C and usually hover in the 48 C range. Very happy so far!

Cons: Maybe the only drawback is no copper for heat conductivity, but with the performance I'm seeing it's more of an wish. Can't beat the performance for $10

4 out of 5 eggsTight Fit

Pros: Well made, nice appearance, works great, very quiet. Heat sink comes with pre-applied thermal compound.

Cons: Mounting bracket interfered with the nearby memory card on Dell Studio XPS.
The front mounting bracket holes would not line up with the mounting holes in the motherboard due to contact interference with the nearest memory card. Problem was resolved by removing excess material from the mounting bracket.

5 out of 5 eggsCool and quiet

Pros: -Ultra Quiet.
-Keeps my i7 4970k Haswell cool.
-Easy installation.
-Artic MX-4 Thermal pre-applied.
-Inexpensive - Got it for $10.

Cons: -None I can think of at this time.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a quiet, cost effective, efficient, but not over the top cooler, than this is the one for you. It is much better than any stock cooler. Unless you are going to overclock your CPU like crazy than there's no reason to not buy this for your standard CPU cooling care.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent price, decent cooler

Pros: I purchased this cooler as a back up for a HTPC with unconventional case dimensions, and I was unsure what size cooler would actually fit due to the lack of pictures, reviews, and descriptions on the case I was using. I ended up keeping it as I was satisfied with the close to OEM spec and temperatures. I gave 5 stars, as it was everything I expected.

Cons: None.
