Pros: Moves air...

Cons: But does so LOUDLY. I'm not kidding. Do not get fooled by the db claims. Has an annoying 'chuffing' sound.

Other Thoughts: Nifty mounting system, but does NOTHING to reduce vibrations. I have all my silenX fans on their rubber grommet things, and I still feel vibrations on the case panels. Good idea, but does nothing.

Pros: Fancy looking, lots of big claims on the packaging. Good air flow.

Cons: Ridiculously loud. I'm rating this low because it's essentially false advertising. The fan works fine but it's no where near 11dba. It sounds like a fan with worn out bearings. Just to be clear, I tried two of them (the 14dba model as well) and they sounded the same. It's a design flaw, not a defect, IMO.

Other Thoughts: Spend your money elsewhere. My Cooler Master Centurion 590 came with two very quiet 120mm fans. They blow the Silenx fans away.

Pros: With low noise levels and semi-low rpm's, it's an air pusher through my case blowing over my hard drives keeping everything cool.

Cons: Nice, but it could use to be quieter, but that's not too much of a con.

Other Thoughts: Working on building a new computer, with a QX9770 and 2 ATI 4870's. Thinking about the heat that's going to build up, looking for the quietest solution to keep my comp cool and running quiet.

5 out of 5 eggsThe most silent fan I've ever used

Pros: Quiet. Moves a decent amount of air. Has been reliable so far. Fluid dynamic bearing can be a positive or negative depending on construction quality.

Cons: Expensive. Lightweight plastic.

Other Thoughts: I like my PC to be quiet. This fan is the quietest I have ever owned. I cannot hear it unless I listen very closely. Keep in mind I do not run it at full speed, so I cannot verify noise level or reliability in that situation. I do not overclock, and use my PC mostly for multimedia applications, so I need it to be quiet.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent performance, Quiet

Pros: Super quiet, excellent airflow for its noise level. Will push air through a Swiftech rad. Nice understated metal finish.

Cons: Costs too much.

Other Thoughts: I've used all of the popular quiet fans and this is the best 12cm quiet fan.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: None

Cons: It's quiet, fan wise. After two days of use however, it starts squeaking.

All three fans I ordered did this.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Quiet, Moves good amounts of air.

Cons: It's probably not actually 11db.

Other Thoughts: Compared to the other popular silent 120mm fan on Newegg, this one actually moves a decent amount of air. Very high air movement/noise ratio. I plan on using these fans in all of my builds from now on, along with a fan controller.
