5 out of 5 eggsRosewill RFX-80BL 80mm 2 Ball Bearing Blue LED Case Fan with Fan Controller Set

Pros: I bought one for a top vent to blow hot air out from the CPU cooler, it moves a lot of air. very nice 80mm fan. I had it for over a year now and its still running strong, I had to get the 80mm fan cause i couldn't fit a 120mm because of a mobo port. but I'm glade i got this one.

Cons: -didn't use the fan controller but i don't really care.

-the blue leds aren't that bright.

Other Thoughts: great fan, will buy again.

4 out of 5 eggsLoud but awesome

Pros: *It's a fan
*Blue LED's are powerful and look terrific, and even brighten and dim with the fan speed
*Very fast shipping
*The included speed control dial is fantastic for ancient PC's. Mine has no thermal monitoring of any kind, and that includes no PWM. A physical dial is the next best thing.
*Great price

Cons: *Not as quiet as I was hoping. On max power the fan is way louder than 27.7 dBa. This doesn't bother me that much, but those who value silence AND performance may want to look elsewhere.

Other Thoughts: This fan replaced the old and now dead one in my PSU. Installation was a major pain, but that's to be expected with a decrepit no-name power supply. I'm very happy with this fan and would buy many more should the need arise.

4 out of 5 eggsWhy do I HEAR you too?

Pros: Great looks easy installation ( the variable speed control also).

Cons: Advertised as " silent " these fans are anything BUT, upon firing up my system there was a pronounced whine which carried over at all speeds, after 15 days I have gotten used to it and perhaps it has lessened a bit, but not much. I got two different sizes and both have the same problem!

4 out of 5 eggsLoud!

Pros: Moves a lot of air.

Cons: Loud! I can deal with noise but it sounds like there is a hair dryer in my case.

Other Thoughts: I didn't use the fan controllers that came with the fans to reduce clutter but I put some low noise adapters on the fans and the sound is okay now.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat

Pros: great fan.
quiet for how much air it moves. (you can hear it but its not a delta screamer by any means)
I'm a hardcore gamer and have no ac so I need my fans on 100% all the time. this have not tested the fan controller, but it looks to be of good quality as well.

Cons: none

not silent I reckon, but nobody builds 'silent' gaming rigs unless they are water-cooling anyway.
In fact the whole 'silent gaming pc' is an oxymoron, a physical impossibility. maybe someday when AMD invents some new superconductor chip that runs at 2-3 TERAHERTZ and draws 1-3 watts, but with todays technology its just not possible. (and AMD chips run much cooler than intel, so if anyone ever made it happen it'd be AMD).

Other Thoughts: This is the ideal balance between cooling power and noise level. there is no such thing as a 'silent' or 'quiet' gaming rig unless you go with water cooling, but these fans help keep noise down to an acceptable level, and are nowhere near as loud as the 120mm delta screamer sitting atop a a10 6800k oc slightly to 4242 (4343 turbo) in a matx case with 2x2gb ripjaws ddr3 2000, msi a75 e35 matx motherboard and 500gb wd black hdd, plus a pioneer bd-rw bluray burner.
this thing isn't 'quiet' but its not loud enough to distract you when gaming or even watching movies at moderate volume levels (eagle 100w 2.1 speakers). in fact my xbox360 is just as loud if not moreso than this thing.

These are great fans, I highly recommend them to anyone, as the speed control allows near silent operation if your goal is quiet htpc, yet they deliver the airflow you need for high end gaming when running full-bore, without becoming 'mini turbojets' with regard to noise.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good fan

Pros: -Good airflow
-Good ilumination
-Good cabling insulation
-Nice speed control add on

Cons: -Doesn't seem as quiet as advertised at full speed

Other Thoughts: Great fan it just wasn't as quiet as I expected. Althought CPU fan is sometimes louder when PC is at full load.

5 out of 5 eggsQuestion on Default Settings

Pros: looks nice.

Cons: I wish default settings without controller could be displayed.

Other Thoughts: I don't plan on using the external controller and wonder if the settings default on particular RPM or CFM..dBA also. or can that be changed? any response awesome!
