4 out of 5 eggsSmaller than I thought

Pros: Keeps my cheap Haswell 35W cpu just above room temp at idle on the test bench(will not stress due to 80w PSU)
4pin PWM allows me to set custom fan profile in BIOS.

Cons: Worried about sleeve bearing giving out suddenly.
Fan motor is right above the copper core, never had good experience with that mounting in the past.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for the Antex 110 mini ITX case, and ASRock Z97E-ITX/ac. This fits with room to spare. As this is also the ONLY fan in that case, I may create a duct to pull in outside air. Or dremel a 60/70mm fan, attach to case and blow into heat sink when the cover is on. Check my Antec review for any possible mods I may have made.

5 out of 5 eggsBe Careful Before You Buy

Pros: I bought this to replace the stock cooler on my 4670K, but it wouldn't work so I checked out the specs. This has a max TDP of 65 Watts. If your CPU uses more than that, this cooler is not adequate. Of course this wasn't a problem and I just used it to cool a i3 4130 in my HTPC. Its very quiet and at low fan settings, it isn't even audible. Its a great CPU cooler, but only for some processors. Of course that was my mistake for not checking out the specifications and I won't take an egg off for that. I only reviewed this so other people don't make the same mistake that I did.

Cons: None other than installation was a bit annoying as the pins to clip it to the motherboard kept moving around and you had to keep adjusting them.

Other Thoughts: Corsair C70
i5 4670K
EVGA GTX 780
Samsung 840 Evo 250gb SSD
2Tb Western Digital Black
Asus Maximus VI Formula

3 out of 5 eggsDisappointing

Pros: I bought this to replace the stock Intel cooler that came with the i3-4330 due to noise and very poor performance. I am using this processor in a mATX build for my girlfriend and just wanted something that would maintain decent temperatures while being quiet.

The stock Intel cooler for the i3 I bought idle'd around 45-50c and it would hit 79c under Prime95, which is absolutely ridiculous considering it's not overclocked and has a 54w TDP. This Rosewill cooler was inexpensive, looks good, and has a copper core, so I was expecting the temperatures to be adequate to my needs (keeping this CPU from from doubling as a skillet).

Cons: I was very excited for this cooler until I started to run some tests. It idles around 42-43c with 25c ambient temps and, under Prime95, got up to 69c. This is still unacceptable to me because even those temperatures can shorten the life of a CPU and I expect my girlfriend to be topping this CPU out since she uses Adobe's Creative Suite a lot. The case I am using is a Cooler Master Elite 120 with three fans hooked up; one 120mm Gelid intake fan and two Silenx 80mm outtake fans, which all perform fantastically and provide the case with plenty of airflow considering everything else is very low powdered, so I do not believe airflow is a problem.

Other Thoughts: My own desktop has an i5-2500k overclocked to 4.5ghz. Water cooled with an Corsair H100i, it remains around 32-35c idle and doesn't go past 62c under full load. I use Gelid's GC-Extreme thermal paste, which is some of the best TIM you can get at the moment. Needless to say, I would like to think I am familiar with good cooling on desktop computers and, unfortunately, this cooler is just not up to par. Sure, it's much quieter than the stock Intel heat sink and if that's all that matters to you then you came to the right place, but, to me, that doesn't matter much when it barely performs better than the cooler I replaced it with.

1 out of 5 eggsFlimsy. Broke immediately.

Pros: None that I can see.

Cons: Unit is much more flimsy than the original Intel part. It broke during initial installation, with one of the posts twisting completely off the unit.

Other Thoughts: I've done a fair amount of work on motherboards, including with this variety of heat sink. This was not user error.

5 out of 5 eggsSILENT

Pros: Used in an HTPC buld with an extremely low power (35W TDP) Core i3-4130T.

Cannot hear it. AT ALL. Temps in the 30s under normal load conditions.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I suspect it won't work very well with higher TDP processors, but a great solution for low power rigs.

Between this, a fanless power supply, an SSD and a quiet, low RPM HDD, I quite literally cannot hear my new HTPC at all.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for HTPCs!

Pros: This thing is great. It's virtually SILENT. great heat dissipation and a great low profile CPU cooler.

Cons: It doesn't come in a gold plated box.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace the stock cooler that came with my i5 to fit in my Antec ISK 110 VESA Case that I used to build my HTPC. this fits perfectly with plenty of room to spare. Would recommend this to anyone needing a low profile solution for a HTPC.

5 out of 5 eggsVery quiet!

Pros: Fan is very quiet! Keeps my Mini-ITX rig cool at 34C. Good price (compared to the usual $30+ quiet coolers).

Cons: None, it's awesome!

5 out of 5 eggsDoes the job, well. Good Purchase.

Pros: Low profile, does the job that is intend, nice design, VERY quiet,

Cons: You would think install would be easy, but it's not.

Why? You would think that the Arrows on the posts indicate how to tighten. N O ! ! ! the arrows tell you which way to turn to UNINSTALL.

With this arrow thing, you think it's installed, and it just keeps being floopy, leaving you wondering: Wha the fark ?

But then, once you figure it out, all is well with the world.

Nice that they included heat paste preinstalled.

Other Thoughts: Nicer than the stock Intel cooler, running it my HTPC, works on socket 775 chip (that's what I have). Now My Video Card is louder and I'll have to replace THAT !
